So I got into the series is early 2020 which was when the Jeju Island raid arc was still publishing I caught up to the raid arc after spending 3 days reading and was satisfied with it being the season finale Chu gong put a lot of effort into the panels and wish this manwha had an anime but sadly it will most likely not receive one. Anyways so season 2 was released the following week and we got a chill arc the aftermath of the raid which I thought was needed the aftermath of Jeju Island established to the world Sung was a powerful hunter S rank hunter that could no longer be made fun of as "The worlds weakest hunter" and Introduced us to the other Monarchs which would be a looming threat. But I also started seeing some issues with Solo Leveling around this point as well that being that Sung became way too strong and the world had to rely on him way too much it feels pointless to send any S rank hunters to go handle a dangerous task because 90% of the time its too strong for them to deal with and Sung has to arrive by using Shadow Exchange and save them. Remember when S rank hunters were portrayed as serious threats? being feared and even saying 2 S ranks fighting left chaos behind? well not anymore it feels like they got dropped and should be A or B rank hunters instead, Nation Level hunters being the only ones who can actually do some work like Thomas Andre or Liu Zhang for example yes they may not be able to defeat Monarchs but at least they aren't gonna coward in fear saying things like "We can't beat it" or "Its too strong we stand no chance". As for Sung, he became so strong that anything that wasn't a monarch felt like he was fighting a D or C rank monster even S rank beasts get beat easily like The Ant King, The Demon King or the giants that invaded Japan an S rank hunter and a ton of A ranks couldn't beat one but 1 man was able to slaughter the entire army and the Monarch controlling them?. Thankfully they fixed the conflict issue in the final section of the story by having a group of Monarchs attack Sung at the same time even Sung being at Level 122, with his entire shadow army and his new daggers he obtained called Kamish Wrath weren't enough and was killed yes you read that right he got killed but somehow that death allowed him to resurrected and having his full potential unlocked which felt like a cop out but learning that Antares the strongest monarch was gonna be his next opponent so he needed all the power possible especially when he was gonna fight an entire dragon army that was all on par with Kamish in destructive power which killed 95 S rank hunters and wiped out most of the U.S if the final 5 didn't kill it I can't wait to see how this final battle will play out but I'm excited to see what happens next hope the author takes no more breaks and if this entire review seems like nitpicks or hate let it be know I like Solo but its not perfect nothing is everything has flaws and that fine.
