NOTE: Intro and Conclusion are without any spoilers to the plot. Other stuff has spoilers thus. I would recommend only reading them when you finished the anime and want to see what others thought... or maybe if you dont mind spoilers and want to read more about the characters.
Keep in mind. These are just my personal thoughts thus.. you may not agree and thats fine. Thank you.
(ANOTHER NOTE: Now im aware that this isnt furry anime. Thanks goes to one nameless user for letting me know :D)
INTRO
If im going to be 1000% honest with you here. Im not furry. Im not a big fan of furries. I don’t have anything against them. But I was never a crazy fan of them either. With that said I would like to share my reason to watching this anime at the very start -) 1. My friend is a furry 2. We wanted to watch something together 3. I wanted to watch something what isn’t so in depth. Did I get that? Simple answer: Yes. That isn’t enough? Read rest of the review and bare in mind that it contains spoilers since im going to be talking about plot and character development (maybe also animation style and music).
Kuroto Nakano
Here is the root and the reason behind all the actions Senko-san took. Kuroto Nakano. Normal average programmer man who is too depressed and always brings out negative energy not only for himself… but for others around him as well. He is not positive at all… and that was the reason for us to get Senko involved. As the anime progresses and Senko-san spends more time with Kuroto. He learns to enjoy everyday things more and more. This is something I also noticed when watching Kuroto. I felt like the anime tried to show us how little Kuroto wants to happiness. That’s something to think about and appreciate. At the end of the season. Kuroto Nakano is willing to go and find Senko-san. That’s probably something he didn’t do and experience before. He reaches his hand to Senko-san and shows her that she really means a lot to him and that he also wants to be with her no matter what.
Senko-san
Senko-san. The one who saved and made Kurotos everyday life a better and more fun place. She took care of Kuroto in many, fulfilled lot of dreams and gave furries the fan-service I believe they wanted :D. At the end of the season. Senko-san finds herself doubting herself – which may be bit surprising if you think about it. Demigod fox 800 years old and she has doubts. I think this maybe wanted to show us that age doesn’t matter and that everyone can slip. If we get season 2. I will be looking forward to seeing more of Senko-sans little development :D.
Shiro
Shiro was in my eyes a character who helped the plot and overall happening have a slightly different vibe and feeling to it. Her personality is something what challenged Senko-san. At the last few episodes, I also felt like her and Yasuko were the second row of main characters behind Kuroto and Senko. It’s something I really appreciated, and I think it gave the plot more room to maneuver.
Yasuko Kouenji
Yasuko is another character like Shiro who helped the two main characters grow or have some time off the screen. I liked the way the anime showed her to us at the start and how it then progressed. One detail I also kind of personally liked is that she was an artist.
Sora
She was I think the “Villain” of the anime. Of course, she wasn’t exactly fighting against our main characters. But she always presented that question in opposition against some beliefs the main characters had. Like at the end where she challenged Senko-sans purpose in pampering Kuroto.
Takeaway
I think this anime showed us one thing. Sometimes people really need little to make them happy (pampering) or maybe too much (demigod fox)? Other than that, I haven’t really felt like anything amazing stood out.
Conclusion
If you like and enjoy animes where there are furries and you can chill. Here you go.
Thanks for reading
