TL;DR: It's amazing. Watch it

This show is laugh out loud almost non-stop. The sheer absurdity of the situations makes it funny. Even if the show borrows some scenes from a atypical romance show, they somehow make it ridiculously funny. The main characters are Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane. These two make for some absurd scenes when there is a very simple way to solve the problem for the typical viewer. Their insane pride keeps blocking their way almost all the time. To back them up is Chika Fujiwara and Yu Ishigami. Chika is chaos in moe form. She usually does the curveball in many episodes. Then Ishigami is an otaku ~~that wants to die. Not really,~~ and very blunt, especially when triggered. Every character I listed has some standout moments. Despite Shirogane being one of the main, main characters, I think he is fairly basic in characterization compared to the rest of the cast.

Its biggest strength is the writing and the jokes. It's laugh out loud with tons of standouts like Ep. 4, 6,and 7. I could never recall a show that could make me laugh this much than this anime. It's a masterclass in comedy. The English dub gets a special mention as it is very funny too though the comedy they try to give is different from the Japanese voices, especially the narrator. I highly recommend watching this in the English dub. It's very fun- *Gets killed by purists that looks down on all dubs.

The romance, not so much. In fact it isn't really the focus of the anime (at least for this season). It's fine for the most part. All episodes excluding the final one was mostly light and funny. The last one was something inspired from Your Name's third act and epilogue which isn't really bad. In fact, it's a neat part to close the anime, at least this season.

Unfortunately the visuals fall more on the "Expected" range. It can look good most of the time with its stylized drawings. Excluding the last episode and the school interiors, this anime is pretty decent visually. It's good but I've seen better. It's a bit of a shame when other aspects of this anime is so so good.

Music? It's pretty good. Not much more to say. I like that style of music in the OP.

This anime is comedy-first, romance second and drama on its side. It nails those with flying colors. One of the funniest anime's that I watched. You should watch this if you want a pretty good laugh and a bit of romance.
