A simple story of a child raised by a mysterious yet powerful figure... (Grandpa?) Well, it wasn't what the child expected at all. Cleaning, cooking, hunting, foraging, and so on are the training our MC has undergone at the age of 10. His life, growing up, and training to become the strongest in the world! That is Lightning Degree.

//Honestly did not expect to make a review. I was bored and coincidentally wanted to make a review.//
I may have made it sound greater than reality, but it was a fun read nonetheless. Overall, the story is very slow-paced in addition to numerous side stories or "tangents" that occur. But I find the slow pace to be just right for the manwha.
For the art of the Lightning Degree, decent overall. The style is easy to look at and is very cute (Yeonbi and Ai Rin was such example). Nothing was highly detailed but neither was it lacking in any aspect.

With that said there were also some points where I hoped were more impactful. The antagonists of the story are pretty plain (or just have not gotten the chance to shine yet). A great story is composed of a blood-boiling enemy, but it all felt flat in my opinion.
~Over this part there will be SPOILERS till the latest chapter~
I always had a thought on the back burner as to why the grandpa picked the MC. Well to put it simply, they don't have anything better to do perhaps even just lonely. Notice the arc where the MC left the lightning gate to explore the outside world. His old master enraged planning to storm out of their home, foiled by clever planning. Notice the reminiscence of memories that the master had about the MC of different ages. It truly was personally a favorite part of the story.
