Story 9/10: Where do I start? This anime was many people's first love, it makes you care about the protagonist and his story from the first episode. World building was superb and the powers and story have a lot of depth which keeps the watcher from getting bored. Fuck fillers! Even if they can be enjoyable sometimes, I really can't stand wasting a whole week of excitement on a filler episode.Chunin exams was so hype, this is where I truly loved this anime and was hooked. Something I really love about this anime is that even though its main demographics were kids/teens it's actually pretty dark, it also has its fair share of funny moments which give a great feel to the overall story and vibe. Actually gives life lessons (can get a little stale, but I rate the fact they did it because of the demographic)
Animation 7/10: Animation is decent for its time, all thought it is a little out dated now. Still, I don't think it was anything groundbreaking at the time, this could be due to it being a weekly release, so they needed to downgrade the animation to get the episodes out on time. I was a big fan of the effects, nothing seemed shoddy or out of place, it just didn't WOW me, you know?
Characters 9/10: Characters are all unique and enjoyable also you're not overloaded with new faces constantly, you get a steady slow of new people to remember. Naruto is a very relatable character as he gets picked on and bullied which happens to a lot of kids, he's also very uplifting, and I think it's great that they had the fore thought to not just this make this a fun watch but also a life lesson that can help children grow. This is probably why it's so popular and really cemented itself as a power house anime. I can't think of any characters i dislike apart from Sakura (if you don't include the fillers), she's so boring and basic. She is relevant to the story and plays a part in a lot of connections, but she's just soooo helpless.
Music/Voice acting 8/10: A few nostalgic openings and backing music with creative instruments that stay loyal to the origin of the anime. Voice acting is excellent in Japanese but comes off really corny in English. Might be because it hasn't aged well butt even then some characters (looking at you Sasuke!) are so melodramatic. If someone played a random opening or backing song, I think I could guess it being from Naruto 9/10 times.
Lasting Effect/Ending: 10/10: I don't think ill ever forget Naruto, and I've made so many memories with friends watching it and playing the spin-off games. I really grew as the anime was released, and in a way it shaped me as a person. Not to mention it's not even finished, and I have a whole new long-running anime to watch after. I can't give this any less than a perfect score for last effect alone. For a lot of people this was their gateway anime, it was the one that opened them up to new horizons and I think it deserves respect. The ending sets up Shippuden fantastically, as it keeps the mystery behind a few things and gives a needed time skip so that everything feels fresh and evolved when it returns.
Biased Bonus: 2 It's fucking Naruto, how can I not bump it up to a 9 like??? it's a goated anime
