Honestly, I tried really hard to get into this show; it's popular, and everyone seems to fawn over the male characters, bit I couldn't. To sum it up, the show is shit.
There aren't many anime's that I drop, but I had to drop this one. Not only did it have a shitty plot (not that there was much of one anyway) but it was generic and disrespectful. Consent wasn't a thing in this anime, and yui was called "bitch" every two seconds. There was no well written character either.

It wasn't even two episodes in before we saw Yui get sexually assaulted, as she was pinned up on the couch (no consent) and was felt up. Not only was this scene disgusting, but it's not something you should put with the vibe of "sexy" Sexual assault is very real, and isn't something people should get off on. Though, that's what a majority of the scenes were for. Viewers pleasure. Continuing on in the show, Yui was touched, hit, raped and more. I don't know what was going in the author and artist of this, or what the hell is wrong with them; but I was honestly shocked this became an anime.
It's romanticising this very toxic and disgusting situation that Yui is forced into, with the excuse that "they're hot" and "it's a show" the target audience for it is girls, and unfortunately very young girls. There is such a huge possibility that they'll end up desiring this sort of relationship, which comes to my last point. I honestly believe that this show should be banned, it paints this picture that women aren't human, that rape and sexual abuse are "sexy" and "cool" its disgusting. Yui is 17 as well, a child, which is again disgusting
This poor girl is stuck in a house with a plentiful of predators, and the genre is "romance" There is no romance in this show, nothing about it is normal, they paint Yui at fault. Make it seem that she is the reason all of these terrible things are happening to her, which isn't the case here and never will be. The show is uncomfortable to watch.
I wish the game wasn't a thing, and I wish this anime wasn't either. I didn't get very far into it, but it's horrible. Women aren't weak, and aren't at fault for being sexually assaulted but this show says otherwise.
That's all I have to say, and I truly hope that young girls know that the relationships Yui is in with these vampires aren't healthy, and are something no one should ever have to go through.
Also the guys in this are ugly, so I truly don't know why this show is so popular. Goes to show how romanticised abuse is.
