Shonen manga mostly about fighting with pyrokinetic powers and solving a core central mystery about people randomly combusting and turning into mysterious demons called "Infernals". Shinra Kusakabe, after having a mysterious incident in his childhood involving his mother combusting and his brother disappearing, joins the Tokyo Fire Force to put Infernals to rest and solve the core central mystery of human combustion.

After this fight, however, the manga enters a slump. The story loses focus and begins to center on a wider group of 7 people called the Pillars (who Shinra and Sho represent the third and fourth of, respectively.) Several arcs go by involving the Fire Force and the White-Clad fighting over them, and it's pretty boring.

Eventually, the manga picks back up around chapter 180~200 and keeps getting better and better. Standouts include Arthur fighting Dragon, Benimaru fighting his doppelganger, and the final fight. I won't talk about it here, but the story goes at a breakneck pace for the last 100 chapters, and it's better read in the manga than here, including an amazing last arc and great ending.
Suffers a bit at the start from a transition to a weekly format (and don't quote me on this, but pretty sure it's also a transition to digitally drawn too) but catches up to his previous art fairly quick, especially during spreads.

Fire Force is a great manga. You should read it. 8/10
