This season felt...empty.
First, from the first few episodes and on...Yes, the thought of being fired for no reason, or pressured to leave on your own is A REAL AND CURRENT ordeal, which is scummy, did hit home, and also had me on my seat a tiny bit to know who was going next.
OOOOH wants to gouge out my eyes just because of Haida's character. I've NEVER grooooaned so much about a character. I literally was eye rolling and huffing every time Haida did anything
He's sooo wishy washy to not likeable character wise. No back bone STILL in season 4 besides later on when he and Retsuko FINALLY become a thing. This season kinda helped in that regard I guess...
However, when Haida was blowing Retsukp off I understood that because of work and he wanted to impress Himuro because of validation, but you shouldn't put your job before others. He was also seeking validation in the wrong places unfortunately.
Another point I am confused about, so DID Haida & Retsuko become a thing at the end??? I just remember him getting mad at her and to not look down on him when Retsuko was trying to get the flash-drive but then BAM together when he quits the company??? I'm not connecting any dots here with where it is going....
I feel like we have not heard much of Retsuko screaming as much as past seasons....Her growth seemed to kinda stop here and a tiny bit for me in season 3. It felt like for that season it was her finding a place to put her "death metal voice" out there. Here it seems like stunned growth, but also give a chance for someone else [Haida >.>] to take that step.
Himuro felt like an ok villain; just because of his intellect and calculating tactics for the company. [I'd say kinda like an evil Tadano, but not lazy]
I also enjoyed that we got to see more of Ton's home life too and see more of a personality from his kids.
Trevor Devall, who knocked it out of the park as the new villain for this season as Himou's dub Voice actor. He has voiced characters from: F is for Family, My Little Pony, Death Note, Johnny Test [Ive never sat and seen most of this show.] and Inuyahsa.
I still enjoy Griffin Burns as Todano.
Retsuko and the rest of the company's voice actors still sound fit for the roles.
So no comments on the sub voices because I did not use them this time around. Maybe when I have to rewatch it for the next season I can
I feel like they are milking it now; ANOTHER season? Yes its easy to digest, heck I finished it in a day. However, that means I might have to re-watch it to remember it, which this season felt empty. I bet I get EVEN MORE annoyed at Haida in this next season, which I sadly hope is the last one.
I don't have much hope for another season. They focused on the Retsuko the first three seasons, this season Retsuko took a back seat in my opinion and made Haida, and the company in general the highlight this season... I have no CLUE where they can take it. I'll probably still watch it but with way less enthusiasm like this and season three.
