If I could describe this in as few words as possible, it is "just fine". This anime is probably the most average anime I have watched since I've started watching anime (which is around 18 months). Quite fittingly, it's an Isekai. It doesn't go as low as this
/anime/119056/she-professed-herself-pupil-of-the-wise-man
(I'll probably rip this one in the future)
or as "somewhat" high is these
/anime/106479/bofuri-i-dont-want-to-get-hurt-so-ill-max-out-my-defense
/anime/112608/ive-been-killing-slimes-for-300-years-and-maxed-out-my-level
At the very least these have something good to note. This one doesn't have one at all. Well, there is one but it's very minor. It also doesn't screw up any aspect at all. This one sits perfectly in the middle of the pack
The story revolves around Cayna who was sent to Leadale. It was a VRMMORPG but was shut down for unknown reasons. You follow her in the adventures she does. I'm just gonna say that what she does is not super interesting to see. It's what I kind of expect in an adventure. Oh yeah, toss in some game mechanics and this anime should be different /s. There is an overarching plot on why this game was shut down but it is bogged down by exposition dumps. This is the most interesting plot point to me. Don't get me started on how she got transported there. She died at a hospital while on life support when the power went out (not a spoiler, it's literally the first scene of the first episode). I thought these buildings should have some sort of backup power in these situations to prevent stuff like this. Apparently, she's playing Leadale during this time. Don't ask me how though. Even without this plot hole, the story feels so average. It can be interesting at times but can be a bore fest at others.
Same can be said for the characters. Cayna is your happy go lucky adventurer with anger issues, especially to her children. Intimidating or attacking to the speaker if you said something that pisses her even slightly. That gag gets old after its 3rd or 4th time because of how often it's used in a few episodes. It gets toned down but is replaced by Rox and Cie fighting which their personality is basically Laika and Flatorte from Slime 300. In short, the characters are so forgettable that it isn't worth mentioning here and the MC is your typical overpowered MC with some anger issues.
The anime also looks fine almost all the time aside from the 3D stuff though that is used rarely so it's not super distracting. That's it because the animation is so unremarkable aside from the weird ass animals they thrown at certain episodes.
I don't think music is worth a mention so I'll just put the score here
This show does everything in my opinion just fine. It doesn't push the genre to new frontiers at all. I don't think this one will stick to the audience for even a month, especially when the upcoming season will be filled with high profile shows old and new. If you think this is interesting, go ahead and watch it.
