The animation was gorgeous. Every main cast character was fleshed out and deep and fun and real. My fav moral lessons were on how to get along with your parents when you're mentally more mature, those really hit. Rudi is an awesome protag (favorited him) I went into the show hearing very bad things and those reporters be wilin. Certainly is a lot of pervy stuff but I take that as par for the course in anime. I think the way Rudi gets to stay his older flawed self mentally in a younger form was done so much more sympathetically than helpless Takemichi. And Rudi was way more pervy with the Eris stuff but it just came off as not as big of a deal to me... but i cant exactly place why... a lot of screen time together? Maybe bc Hina was Takemichi' ex? idk maybe that's just my bias.

The way Rudi frames time in his show made me think about the way i frame the time in my own life, in that im doin it very wrong. Often he gets me thinking like... well i dont have a plan for that far ahead like this 10 year old does... maybe i should make one...The action scenes were top tier, smart camera work. Especially Eris stuff. Paul is my fav character, wish he got more screen time. Ruijerd close second. Music was appropriate. The plot is slow af tho, excluding a couple setting-changing episodes. I felt pretty aimless almost all of my watch time, not really sure where the story was going or what the overarching goals were supposed to be or what was important. But I guess that's also just how life is in general for most of us.

I def have a hard time grounding myself in isekai settings, I'm usually confused by the world building (or the lack thereof) and the narrative focus always seems to be directed on character moments or fighting. Like the demon eye thing came outta nowhere and then suddenly become incredibly important. Its not really the shows fault, but i do have a hard time as a viewer going along for the ride. I have often wished when i walk away from an isekai that i woulda rather played the story via video game.
I also struggled during Roxy epis sometimes... but nothing wrong with her character and I love her moments. Dealing with a town full of people who don't like you is extremely relatable, as well as having something wrong with you that separates you from the rest of your kind. Roxy telling her mom that she will try to visit every couple of hundred years is exactly how I feel about visiting my home town. Her moments were touching but the pace of the anime just crawls, and when I see Roxy I know what's coming, more waiting around. So if you here for a lot of plot, probs wait for more content.

Finally, ending was sad but also fitting; the show is about life and people say goodbye, times changes. Everyone is on their our own individual journey, its just that sometimes we travel together. Its really not like our crew had a falling out, surely we will see them again. The whole anime felt like a prequal to a story I hadn't read yet. Honestly feels like we just got started, and I'm excited for more to come
