Kokou no Hito or how i will call it from now on The Climber is a Story about a Man who tries to Climb, atleast this is what the Manga wants you to belive at the beginning. But you soon realize that this isn't about just Climbing, but over Mori Buntarous Struggle with Loneliness and Society. So what starts as a Story about a Young Shy and Antisocial Boy turns into a Dark and really Realistic feeling Story about Mountains and the grind to Conquer the "Virgin" East Side of the most Dangerous Mountain, K2.

General Thoughts:
I absolutly love the Story of Mori Buntarou and his adventures, his Character Development is made like no other and that is why he quickly became one of my Favorite Main Characters in any Animanga. But if you expect a great Side Cast you may be disappointed, because this is not a Story about the Rope Partners of Mori, This is about Mori. He has the Nickname: The Immortal solo Climber" for a Reason.
____
Artstyle:
I hope i dont need to explain why i love the Artstlye of this Manga so much, the Realisim is incredible and Shinichi Sakamoto gave this Manga a Heart and a Soul through his Artstyle. Some Great Examples, (Spoilerfree):
I hope you understand why i love this Artstyle so damn much, not only is the Scenery made like no other the Close up Character Shots are always gorgeous.
____
Theme:
The Theme of Climbing is a really interesting one, because it is a Sport that i wasn't familiar with at the Start. But the more you read and read the more you actaully know about Rock and Ice Climbing, from how everything works to even knowing what are the most lethal things for a Climber. And don't get me wrong with what i said earlier this Story is still about Climbing it is in fact the Main Theme of this Manga, but it also takes on themes like Depresion leading on to Suicide and dying in the Mountains.

Summary:
I want to keep this as Spoilerfree as i possibly can, this manga is really dark so if you can't enjoy these types of Manga you should maybe not read it, and trust me the first 30 Chapters or so are very different from the rest of the Manga. And sure there are some minor annoyances but this isn't something that keeps me from praising this Manga over and over again. This was really Enjoable but it was even more impactful. I highly recomend this Manga to everybody though, you should atleast try it and if its not for you after like 50 chapters, just drop it. The Chapters are really short to so this was a pretty quick read for me, but i enjoyed every single second of it.
