I hated everything about this. I hate the writing, the characters, the world(after season one), the plot, the action, the mystery and the themes. All of them were all rubbish. I enjoyed
Apparently I have to write more that 2200 characters to submit this review so I'm going to have a rant about the characters in AOT. On first watch, none of the characters feel unique or interesting and so none of them are worth caring for. It seems like people made up character traits for fan-favorites just so fans could believe their characters are greater than they are. Take Armin for example. He makes a couple plans that anyone could make plus he introduces Eren to the outside world. That is IT. He shows no real personality or unique attributes other than those two things. He is even forgotten about for most of the show since he is not necessary. Fans however, believe him to have gone "from crybaby to hero" which I will claim as simply untrue. Just because he doesn't literally cry anymore, his emotions still get the better of him nine times out of ten - even by the end of the manga. Don't even get me started about Mikasa, Levi, Connie, Historia, Reiner, Annie, Berthold etc etc. While reading, the ONLY character from the main cast to be given a personality was Hange. And what does she get in return?
In conclusion, I think that people are giving AOT more credit than it's worth with perfect scores and saying that it is the GOAT. I personally think it deserves a 13/100 (because that's how long titan shifters have to live) but I can understand a 50/100 since there are some scenes that alright if taken out of context where the writer got lucky. HOWEVER, you are lying to yourself if you truly believe that Attack on Titan deserves a score above 80/100. From my perspective this manga and show were AWFUL.
