The Story ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ Jae-sin is a troubled adult. In his childhood, he saw many people die because of demons. Years later, he keeps getting the same dream with a mysterious woman telling him that she will be waiting for him. After moving to a cheap house, Jae-sin finds himself with the need to fight a demon to survive. He's able to escape with the help of a magical wooden "bat" filled with enormous power. Now that weird things are piling up, Jae-sin can't run away from his fate anymore. The story of Nan Yak is really good. As a good shōnen, you get all the stages of The Hero's Journey. The story is presented as a long narrative, with events leading to the next events without much interruption or deviation. You can definitely binge read this. There's always the idea of what's going to happen next.
The manhwa gave me some spooky vibes at the beginning of it, but if you can't handle horror, don't worry, it doesn't last long.

The Art Style ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ The art style in Nan Yak is absurd! That's the most visually appealing manhwa I've ever read. The way that the team uses lights from the top gives you a "godly" idea. There are so many beautiful shots. I found myself downloading many "panels".
(I couldn't find any good pictures of Jae-sin that wouldn't spoil things)Another point that is absurdly well done is the choreography of fights. By reading it, you're able to picture each attack and evade. Honestly, I could stay here for many paragraphs just telling you how amazing it is, but I will shorten it with: There's nothing to complain about in this department.

The Characters ════ ⋆★⋆ ════ There are several characters in this manga. Jae-sin, all his companions, and enemies. They're very well done. Their designs, both artistically and mentally, are very remarkable. As the manga is a shōnen, having the Hero's Journey, you can expect similarities with other works and even tales. I don't think that is bad as it is well done.As I always like to talk about main characters. I really liked Jae-sin, in the beginning I felt like he was weak as a main character, but when you need him to deliver and start getting his grip, he does. It's really nice to watch his growth with the series.
