Before the show released the hype it created all over the media was really hot than summer season despite of it being a Spring seasonal show(2022) lol. I think the reason was because it's manga won some kind of popularity contest.
I didn't start watching it right away but every week an ep dropped and watching other's crazy reaction on it, I couldn't hold myself longer and leapt on to it but....as they say, "Far Mountains are always beautiful."(I think that's the line....), let me serve my thoughts on it as I have now watched that mountain up close.
Beware of small Spoilers and Grammatical errors :-).
STORY :-
We have been hearing the overall plot about how a Spy father, Assassin Mother and an Esper little girl forms a pretend family for the sake of a spy mission.
And yes that's exactly what happened but not as how I thought. In first episodes they introduce father and daughter then in 2nd episode mother came. But when the third ep came it became....so slow. Compared to the rapid fast pacing of 1&2 ep, 3rd ep was really slow and after that if one ep was fast other one was slow. I think those who watched it weekly they didn't notice it.
Despite that every ep never fails to make you laugh. There are times when I have to pause the vdo for laughing. Also many inside things of being a Spy, an Assassin and as Esper are shown very fluently and neatly.
Also I can't understand why the title named SPY X FAMILY when the show is neither all about a spy nor a POV of the spy?
Why in the heavens Loid couldn't know the mother is an Assassin!!?
Why they didn't show properly how the assassin carries out her mission unlike they show about Loid's other spy missions?
ANIMATION:-
As we know studios are CLOVER WORKS and WIT STUDIO so as expected there was no problem with animation.
Infact I really liked how the Animation was consistent from start to finish even if it's an action scene or slow motion scene or comedy scene or anything. There are shows where they just pour all the money on animation or cleverly reducing animation quality in unnecessary part afterwards using that saved up amount on crucial scenes but this show was smooth as butter in this case.
Though every tactics are good in their own way.
MUSICS:-
Hmm.... Average.
I admit I don't have many experience or knowledge in music areas but comparing to other anime musics I find it average. The OP felt good for first few eps but then it also felt average after that.
But I am sure I can never forget that triumph sound on Loid apperance or any crucial spy(ish) moments.
SOME PERSONAL THOUGHTS :-
The voice actor of Loid forger - Eguchi Takuya stands upto his voice acting. Throughout the show he reminds me of his previous voice acting for Hikigaya from Oregairu with how fast he speaks and thinks. When does this dude take breath? ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
My fav ep was MISSION 10. The whole dodge ball game was so dramatic and hilarious lmao.

Finally about Anya.... Anybody have Diabetes medicine? Anya cuteness is too much for me to handle!!! God I could do anything to have my hands on her cheek (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻. All hail STARLIGHT ANYA!!
I didn't read manga nor got any spoilers (Blessed me!!) but I think that dog, which may introduce in Cour 2, have foreshadowing powers.
I know it's contrary of the show's basic concept but I think if Yor were a Spy instead of Assassin then that would be much better. Spy can fight and kill so I don't see any problems with this idea.
CONCLUSION:-
I may have missed some points to put but I think that's enough reason for you to start watching the show if you haven't watched it. It's worth the time I guarantee you but please don't rise your hopes too much to have it crush in the end. In my opinion it's best to watch it slowly, don't binge watch it.
Now all there is left to wait for Cour 2.
