Kaguya-sama, love is war is an S tier show. Now, I don't write reviews for anime often because, frankly, I am a cringe individual who spends most of his time inside, however, if there is one thing I am certain about, that is that all of my opinions are objectively correct, and no one can stand in opposition. High School RomCom anime/manga is a genre that's almost as oversaturated and milked dry as the Isekai genre, the only difference is that, unlike Isekai's, there is an anime rom-com that changes everything every other season, meanwhile, I got twenty or so mfs on discord trying to explain to me why "The Rising Of The Shield Hero" is the "greatest show of all time" and that I should sacrifice my soul to grant it another season.
Anyway, Kaguya-sama love is war is a rom-com... that's actually good, actually, wait, scratch that, it's amazing. You got two tsundere protagonists who are extremely intelligent and think of Light Yagami-level machiavellian plans in an effort to get the other person to confess their love for them, while simultaneously, trying to hide their own feelings. You'd think that the two protagonists, Kaguya-Sama and Shirogane would be the best characters in the show, and the other main characters in the school council would play a supporting role... WRONG
Nope, all of the side characters in this show are absolutely amazing, and I'd argue that their personalities are just as complex and as detailed and interesting as the two mains. My main man, Ishigami, is probably my favourite character on this show, purely because of his chemistry with Miko. He is also a very interesting character, with a depressing back story, and is responsible for some of my favourite scenes in the show. To avoid making this longer than it is, I'll move on.
Chika is another amazing character (and I don't just say that cos of the dance) she is often referred to as "Chaos Theory" since she is so unpredictable, she often gets in the way of Kaguya and Shirogane's schemes. I could write a whole essay on her as well, but to keep things brief, Chika is responsible for my favourite running gag in the show/manga, and that's when she is forced to take the role of teacher to Shirogane. Shirogane, the student council president, is a young man of intelligence, hard work and dedication, but for all of his accomplishments, he struggles to preform (just like me fr) in dancing, and singing, and couldn't even hit a ball before Chika stepped in.
Miko is quickly becoming series' best girl, so I refuse to elaborate further, out of fear of the rest of this "review" becoming about her.
In conclusion, please stop reading my shitty "review" (my opinion) on some anime review/record site, and watch Kaguya-sama. Alternatively, if you are a manga person... then read the manga...
