This is technically my first review.
Since 99% of the people me included skip to the conclusion or just look at the score, I try to keep my points short. I haven't played the game myself, so keep that in mind as well. I'm really allergic to anime that includes guns and cities in any context. BUT I came for the crazy anyway, and I wasn't even planing on watching this.
I'm leaving out the details because I have no feeling for what's considered
This is what the ultimate version (2100 letters friendly) of the notes I took while watching CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS looks like :-).
The bad stuff:
It's not like you forget the main goal of it, but the little things with the corporations in between weren't good for my smol brain to compile.
The good stuff:
I'm a sucker for good music, and that the OST bangs is a humongous cherry on top. I think I heard a female screamo in some Episode, but I'm too lazy to look it up, so I'm excited when/if they release all the soundtracks.
The backgrounds created a distinctive vibe that is kinda hard to describe, but it was fitting well with the atmosphere.
The transitions between action, drama and romance are good.
The main characters have a rather interesting background as well.
Rebecca and the big blond guy are the biggest G's you can have.
It makes it feel more immersive and shifts the focus to somewhere else than the bottom of the screen. I'm not sure, but I think it feels better to watch it ~~ENGLISH DUBBED~~, since the Japanese dub doesn't align with the actual text.
Nah im joking you can laugh now.
Conclusion:
Overall, it's an enjoyable ride that feels like a longer movie that I wouldn't mind rewatching.
