A great surprise. I think they did the comedy part really well because each episode made me laugh which is why none of the episodes felt boring for me. I also love that the endearing moments were mostly platonic and didn't have to be romanced forced. Honestly the whole plot sounded basic and cliche so I was sceptical but it really exceeded my expectations, especially them directly addressing the usual romance tropes. Them adding in the purposely low budget 3d models(?) representing the tropes made the show funnier. I'm surprised that 12 episodes got me to care for almost all of the characters. The seiyuus they got for this also helped make the characters lovable. Saki didn't get a lot of screentime but she's also so likable. Literally just with that one scene where she shot back at the guy who asked her that inappropriate question made me instantly like her. I did not expect Junta to actually move in too, I thought he was going to be pushed aside from the story. Anyway I heard the manga finished there's no chapters to base season 2 off so I'm hoping they'll turn it into an anime original. I need Hijiri to have more screentime too since Kazuki got closure (mostly) on his character. Speaking of Kazuki, Umehara Yuuichirou as his seiyuu was perfect. I already fell for him the moment he spoke. I didn't expect to care for the MC this much but she's amazing and she's true to herself. Because her character feels likable to us, it helps it feel natural how the love interests fall/will fall for her. Usually in romance animes, the MCs always feel a little boring. Yes they might have their charms but sometimes it gets tiring. Anzu personally felt relatable a lot and she even got me swooning for her. Riri was a little annoying at first but they really grew on me throughout the series even though I still can't see them as a love candidate for Anzu. In conclusion, this anime makes me so happy and I need more. It has been awhile since a romance anime gave me this much comfort. I know that if they do make a second season, it will have more romance but I have faith that they won't make it cringy. ALSO I know at some point they have to stop living together but it is just so fun to see Kazuki, Anzu and Junta somewhat like a family together.
