This Review will obviously focus on Usogui. I will keep it spoilerfree so that anybody can see why this Manga is a must read espacially if you like Psychological Manga. So please if you have the time, read through the review and let me hear about your thoughts, dosen't matter if you have read the actual Manga or not, so let's get started then.
Summary:
Usogui is a series based on gambling, with that mindgames are of course a given feature of the Manga, but there is also a part of Usogui that sets it apart from any other gambling series, well you see Usogui is firstly centered about the gambling but what comes after that are Bloody fights to the death, and these always look really good. Well now what is Usogui about tho? So Usogui is about this Guy Baku Madarame or also called "Usogui", he is a gambling prodigy and is a member of a club called Kakerou, this is a organization that prepares games for its 48 members with 101 active referees that overlook these games, and usually you put in everything you have to gamble even your Life. So you can see that there is always this atmosphere of death lying above every chapter which gives you the feeling that nobody is safe here, and so even Baku once lost everything and now he is eager to rise up to the very top again meeting allies and enemies on the way. Why did he lose? And why would anybody bet their life for seemingly just a game of poker? Well figure these things out yourself...

My Thoughts:
Usogui has grown on me alot, it has been my go to Manga for a while now until i finished the Manga, it really is just that entertaining to read and every Chapter and every Arc brings in a wave of fresh new ideas and excitement, that i couldn't stop myself from reading more and more. Well i also got to speak about the bad parts of Usogui and yes there are some, starting with the beginning of the Manga which in my eyes can be really boring and looks bland, this is due to the author trying to figure out his Story and try out new ideas with it, and also i think it was heavily due to the Author foreshadowing alot of following events, because this series is really great in doing so. Yet the foreshadowing can be overlooked easily and then dosen't really ad alot to the experience as a whole. Even though it isn't perfect i still love this Manga, espacially after a certain point in the Manga where the quality just rapidly improves and you get better Games and Fights. This is a Manga that depends heavily on the things that other Manga wouldn't do and that is always something i come to enjoy.
Characters:
The Cast of Characters for Usogui is just one thing Phenomenal, every person in this Manga is interesting, got their own habits and acts differently just how it should be, they feel alive and this is a good thing considering that this Manga depends on its ideas with gambling and how different people handle that. You got Baku as an Example a person that has been gambling their whole life and understands people and how they act you could say he can read actions of people before they even act, and then you got as an example Kaji who is a total noob at gambling and cracks easily under presure, but when he gets serious he can destroy an opponent that acts carelessly. And so you see every Game that is played and every fight that is held is different from the previous one and this makes the Manga so good and im not even trying to start talking about the strategies used to win certain games because reading that is always so good.
Artwork:
I don't want to talk about this point too much because the Artwork is also just godly but i want to show you some of the art that Usogui produced during its run, so here you go some of the best Artwork Manga has to offer:
The same goes for the Cover Art of the Volumes Toshio Sako is a Master in creating Artwork and also writing a Story.
Conclusion:
Well that was my Review on Usogui i hope you enjoyed reading it, and also i hope i could put it on your map. I really put some effort into making this review and i want to say that english isn't my first language so please excuse some errors in the writing of this review i still hope it was easy to read and understandable as a whole, so then thats it goodbye for now...
