Yes, at starting I hated this series so much it took me more then a year to complete it...
but why? Lets See what made me go from "Absolutely Hate it" to "adore its story"...

i was actually forced to watch this series by a guy, he praised this a little too much everyday... and I started hunter x hunter, starting was pretty solid and fun ngl but my brain was trying to just find reasons to hate on LOL.... when Heaven arena arc i was absolutely "BORED"... yes, i dont remember the reason but it was probably something stupid...
When Heaven arena arc was going on.. I used to watch 3-5 eps and then stop watching for months [due to my negative mindset].
BUT, after finishing arena arc, shit started getting actually DAMN interesting that even i couldn't ignore. yes its the "YORKNEW CITY ARC!" this arc was constantly giving me jumps of interests... i started watching everyday [its been like more then 1 year since i started at this point LOL]...
And, when yorknew arc finished, my jaw dropped... like WTF was those last few episodes... "MASTERPIECE"
Now, greed island started... It was kinda similar to heaven arena but different approach... And I was DAMN ENJOYING THIS ONE cause now i was into hxh... finished this arc THEN SHIT STARTED skull_emoji
when "chimera ant arc" started, my mindset was like "ik this is called masterpiece arc, but ain't no way its gonna beat Yorknew city arc". I couldn't be more wrong.... I was hooked to this arc from starting, This arc took a sudden dark turn. At this point I was enjoying the shit so much I started watching 5- 10 eps a day, which is a lot for me since i had exams at that time...
just halfway into chimera ant, I knew this shit surpassed yorknew arc,
by the last 20 eps, I fell in love with this arc, and this series

If I wanted to, i can keep listing the positives of this shit. As is said earlier this is not the Series where Protagonist may always "WIN" and this is the one point that I adore the most about hxh. Usually in other shows when shit is going down, There are either two things that can happen, 1. "pull up a big plot twist" OR 2. "just letting the main character win [naruto way]". But There is another way.... What if we just let the moment happen? thats what hxh does. which is damn AWESOME thing to do imo..
Like You never know what might happen next, no character has got "plot armour" in this series [i think so] when fight or shit is happening, hxh makes you actually wanna watch it cause you never know who might "practically DIE"..
animation is very consistent for an anime having 148 eps [unlike some other anime series]
The characters are very "real". The decisions they make are very human and realistic like a character won't go killing mode if he is meant to be villain, Or a character won't go "talk-no jutsu"ing all the villains cause he is the MC... Every character are very dynamic, you are shown every kind of perspective. hence you end up rooting for villains numerous times...
Series can get comedy when needed, and can get dark when needed [and the hxh fans dont joke when they say "hxh gets dark" bruh]
Everything happens in a Very realistic way, for example villains are handled by adults [unlike other anime where MC kills/defeats villain cause he's MC lmao] which makes a lot of sense

I won't say anything about "how i didnt enjoy heaven's arena arc and previous arcs" cause that was just me trying to find stupid reasons to hate on this series. probably i just need to revisit the starting
The one thing that kinda bothers me, is how killua makes a bit too much "sense" and "adult decisions" efficiently, like i get it he is a prodigy but that doesn't mean he is gonna have the all wisdom at his age. Ultimately He is still 12 years old, he should be child. Like look at GON, he is shown from start that he is unstable and emotional which is how it is supposed to be... but well, this is just a little point that popped in my mind, not that big.
Thats why i like leoreo the most, he is one of the most realistic character

Has the best adventure that ive ever seen... And the every character gets equal screen time and equal perspective, story is not focused on just one "GOAL". Character development is another level, and very damn unique, like, the character development of killua was done by actually deconstructing GON, Very AWESOME!
Every arc is Better then previous. btw here's my fav arcs ranked XD
[didnt include other cause i forgot what heppened in them LOL]
final words: yes I pronounce the "x" of hunter ex hunter XD
