my first review...expect exactly what the title says
if you want the short version: peak cinema
if you want the way too long version where i hope my english hasn’t gotten too bad, here you go:

They set the tone perfectly for the rumbling entrance. The music and tension until the climax which was ramzi’s halil’s and everyone else’s brutal death was probably the most horrible thing i’ve ever seen in anime. Eren’s whole inner monologue was exactly what i wanted and it felt so real i cried like a bitch. Once again some peak writing. The scene switch between the rumbling and eren apologizing to ramzi made me feel like i was apologizing to him…yes i cried even more veeery manly chad tears. Eren’s disappointment about the outside world being the source of all their oppression and just an extension to the world inside the walls he hated all his life for was so fucking sad to see. His and armin’s childish dream stuck with him until today where we see him as an innocent, unknowing and traumatized child again and just looks above the clouds with no death and destruction in his sight and thinks that this is his freedom he always dreamed about. That shit must’ve been the most fucked in the head scene i’ve ever seen. I’m actually still in disbelief that this is real and THAT WAS JUST THE FIRST 11 MINUTES HOLY FUCK.

Well..what follows that is a cute little romcom scene between best boi and best girl. Everyone’s making clear that no one here is a good person anymore but that doesn’t mean they won’t stop bad things from happening. They still have their own imagination of right and wrong and keep moving forward.
(i just had to say this once i’m sorry)Zeke’s plan might’ve been a “better” choice in comparison but you can’t just put millions of lives of the majority over millions of the minority. There will never be a situation where it’s okay to let millions die whether it’s all at once with the rumbling or slowly over time until no one is left. I'll never take a side because i can understand both sides so well that i would’ve done the same depending on if i would be eren or everyone else and try to stop him in that situation. There is no “simple” solution or peace opportunity.

I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT THIS FUCKING GUY SURVIVED AND STUCK TO THE SHIP ALL THIS TIME. As a fellow floch hater i must admit that i at least respect his determination. Now onto the real question…can titans have fun? In my opinion yeah..of course. Look at how much fun those little guys have they go like WEEE.

Okay back to the real stuff... Most iconic scene of the episode…an absolute classic, antique, ancient, prehistoric moment ughh i love both of them please marry me. Hanji’s last fight was probably the best animation i’ve seen from mappa in aot. After she passed her duty of being commander onto armin, she returned back to her old season 1 self AND YES I CRIED EVEN MORE HERE AND IN MY REWATCH AND EVEN IN EVERY REACTION I WATCH. They definitely did my little psychopath justice..RIP hanji. And if that wasn’t enough pain already they show me my mans erwin and mike and sasha and hannes and pixis and keith and moblit and nanaba and petra my beloved AND EVEN BEST GIRL CHARETTE WHAT THE FUCK WHY IS THE HORSE HERE HAHAHAAA.

I don’t even think i have words to describe that scene...i was absolutely flabbergasted, in utter disbelief ain’t no way dude. Love how they all start to regret their actions as soon as things go bad but this time it’s like, really really bad. I love it when even side charactes and people we’ve never seen before are written so realistic that it feels almost too real. We always think about regret when it’s already too late and things can’t be undone...classic human moment.
YO WHERE WAS ONYANKOPON IN JOJO PART 3??? WITH HIM THEY WOULD’VE NEVER CRASHED A MILLION TIMES. This is the only ugly cgi shot in the whole episode but it looked so funny i had to mention this.
Cliffhanger-kun got us really good this time…well at least we finally got splinter wolf with vocals i hope they give us into the night with vocals in the last episode because if not i might have to interfere…
ahhhh where do i start..okay let‘s make it quick.
One of the best episodes in attack on titan and in general i have ever seen.
Most consistent animated episode from mappa.
Yamamoto and Sawano actually got in trouble with the police for setting the studio on fire.
Sim also with another banger that i like even more than the rumbling. Playing this on loop since the episode ended.
Absolute crazy beginning with the horrors of the rumbling. Some of the best scenes in the whole anime, nothing in anime I’ve seen was more terrifying than this. The character writing has always been on a very high level but i’ve never seen something more peak than in part 2 and and this. I still hate this cruel world but love my bois and girls even more..well everyone but floch.
So many great callbacks and smol sweet dialogues i don’t wanna count them but my favourite was definitely the one between levi and my beloved four-eyes AND i guess eren and ramzi.
Oh yeah…you still want my overall opinion right? Weeeeell…i can’t say i didn’t enjoy every second of it and it’s not like i will rewatch this 10 times like i did with the rest of the anime buuut…All in all, Attack on Titan never disappoints and gets from me a well deserved very good, astonishing, incredible, excellent, magnificent, marvellous, exceptional, wonderful, sensational, outstanding 1/10!
