I want to start this review by saying I loved this show, would highly recommend. It has an amazing art style, decent soundtrack and the dub (the way I watched it) while not the best wasn't bad,
Characters
The characters in the show are amazing, they all have reasons for doing things and never feel out of character. the growth is easy to see, and they act like real friends. And the other side characters are also great, they are fully fledged out and act like real humans.
Flaws
my biggest flaw with this show is the characters are so good, but they didn't have very much time to use them. some of my favorite characters that I thought were the most interesting were only in for an episode or 2, I feel like if they used more of the first episodes to introduce characters rather then just building upon the 2 main characters then I would have felt more fulfilled, because that leads to the one other thing I didn't like, the ending they leave a lot of loose ends, If they make a season 2 I would hope they to address these. the ending, while not being the best wasn't awful either Again I was just left with so many questions about the characters.
The setting
The story is a bit slow but the show is a comedy so I think that's fine. however the setting is amazing, The majority of the show takes place at night and it is one beautiful night, the show uses a purple and yellow color scheme and it comes out amazingly. The OP and ending theme fit the show, and the soundtrack overall is great.
Animation as mentioned before the place uses mostly a Purple and Yellow color scheme and this anime is great, there are some scenes where they use some cheap animation tactics, but 90% of the time the anime is amazing. One of the best looking animes I have seen in the past few years it is worth watching for the animation alone.
The characters interacting
I love is the connections between characters and them interacting, they seem like real friends not just like generic TV show friends, they fight, they have arguments, but in the end they make up, It very much reminds me of when I was the characters age.
Fighting
There is also a bit of action which I enjoyed, the fighting/action genre isn't my favorite but they did it very well keeping it only during points that actually advance the plot and not just at random when people are hanging out.
TL:DR
The Show is great, Characters are really good, however the ending leaves a lot of questions with them. The artstyle is amazing using a certain color scheme which makes the night world look amazing. and a season 2 would be amazing.
and overall I would 100% give this a watch easily one of the best slice of life's of the season, on par with bocchi and others.
