It is the most acclaimed work of the renowned mangaka Inio Asano and it is not for less since this is one of the best valued manga of all time. The premise is simple, a boy in love with his classmate, but don't be confused by this, the play goes much further, and that's what I've come to tell you today.

The first thing that catches the attention of this work is the main character who is represented as a chick. This is quite important for the work since it represents how the character sees himself throughout his life

PunPun is a normal boy who has friends like any other boy, although some family problems ended up in him being taken care of by his uncle.
Punpun's childhood was relatively normal, making mischief with his friends and with Aiko, a character I'll talk about later.
Everything goes as normal and punpun arrives at the institute where he distances himself and loses contact with his friends and Aiko.
The decisions that punpun makes and everything that happens around him makes him begin to realize what the world is like and to develop his personality
This work not only focuses on the development of punpun, as I said before, characters like his uncle or Aiko are also very relevant in the work and it delves into them in order to show a message.
such as religion sexuality alcoholism rape murder among others.
One of the characters that stands out is a person who accompanies punpun for a good part of the story and with whom Inio Asano gives us his vision of what mangaka work is like. Since I do not want to go into details so as not to ruin the experience of reading this work, I am not going to talk more about this character.
A very important detail in this manga is the presence of a God who speaks with punpun throughout the work, is sarcastic and never gives punpun direct or useful answers. Punpun is often teased for being cowardly.

The relationship of Aiko and PunPun is one of the main themes in the play, this is not a storybook relationship where there is always a happy ending and the characters end up together and happy, this relationship is more a relationship that could perfectly happen in the real world.
Aiko is very brave and can easily make friends, she is very dreamy and also lies a lot.
Punpun's uncle is one of the best characters in this play in my opinion, women of all ages find him very attractive, and he is not a saint, which leads him to several serious problems in his life.

I have much more to talk about in this work, but since this is a recommendation and not an analysis or opinion of the work, I am going to leave it here.
