Violet Evergarden is an anime that expresses how love is a feeling that is difficult to express and many times, we don't have the courage to say words as sweet as "I love you" to a person, but not only that, it is also a work that shows that we cannot forget our past, but we can change the present so that we can have a better future. But back to the theme of love.
And when we have lost such a dear person and do not know how to express ourselves?

The character Violet, formerly seen as a weapon, cold and without feelings, who only served to obey orders and kill people (and killed them), finds a person who does not understand this way, who sees her as a normal girl like any other and who above all, gives her LIFE, teaching her to read, write, to be a HUMAN and not an instrument of war. But... Life played a trick on her.
>- "Abandoning a mission is unpermitted, but I am certain I would leave to save that person. I would consent to any manner of vilification and punishment afterwards. For me, that person is practically the world itself… if he passed away, I would rather be dead.”
- Violet Evergarden, Chapter 05.
Light Novel.
With the disappearance of Major Gilbert, Violet, returning from the war, searches everywhere for his light, needing to know what those beautiful words that were said to her meant, needing to know how human feelings are expressed, to understand them, and thus to be able to have a better view of the world around her, and consequently, to comprehend why the reason for her existence, said that to her. How human feelings are expressed, understand them, and thus be able to have a better view of the world around her, and consequently, apprehend why the reason for her existence, said that to her.
Thus, she becomes an Automemory Doll.

Being able to express people's feelings in letters that will always be delivered, Violet was able to witness the most diverse emotions of people, and thus, learning more and more that love can be expressed in such different ways, but with the same purpose. With this, she grew up, and became more and more human, more and more FREE, as her dear Major once said.
However, the adversities of life also attacked Violet.
>- “The enemies are also people. Besides… it’s because you don’t know that killing people is slowly setting fire to your body and scorching it that I’m telling you this… Little Violet.
“You will learn a lot from now on. And then, surely, the things you have done… the things I said I left you alone to do… there will come a time when you’ll understand what they were.”
“And then, for the first time, you’ll notice the many burns that you have.”
- Claudia Hodgins, Episode 1.
With the same hands that killed so many people, you write letters? They told her so, our protagonist thus enters a serious identity crisis. How is this possible? Would she be a weapon only to receive orders all her life?...

No more.

She GREW UP, despite all the difficulties, all the times that life put her down to the point that she tried to commit suicide, the letters that SHE wrote to so many people, that had so many positive effects for them, so many emotions that if it were not for Violet herself would not be delivered, so many feelings trapped in the hearts of each individual that she awakened, saved and transformed her into a girl who no longer takes orders.
>- Hey, Mom. You said before that you wanted me to give my child all the happiness you’d once experienced, right? Those words… made me incredibly happy. They really resonated with me, is what I thought. That’s why I’ll do what you did. This isn’t an excuse to see that person, though. It’s part of the reason, but not all. I, too… have feelings that I want to convey. Even many years after our first meeting, I have a hunch that she definitely won’t have changed a thing. With her beautiful eyes and voice that has a sweet ring to it, she will write about my love for my own daughter. Violet Evergarden is that kind of woman – the one that does not disappoint. On the contrary, she was the type of Auto-Memories Doll that one would want to witness doing her work once more. When I see her again, I shall thank her and apologize to her without reserve. After all, I’m no longer that girl who could do nothing but cry.
- Ann Magnolia, Chapter 02.
Light Novel.
And that finally... She has managed to understand the meaning of the words... "I love you."

Violet Evergarden is a sensational work, expressing how much love is beautiful and deserves to be expressed, clap for Kyoto Animation that in addition to bringing this drama supreme, blessed us with a wonderful production, and Brazilian dubbing is the best there is.
A work that changed my life and that I will keep forever with me in my memory and in my heart.
__Thank you.
