Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou
Many days after falling into hell, a door suddenly appeared.
Like a Pandora's box, inside was disaster and a little bit of hope.
Short sinopsis: ''When a classroom of students is transported to another world to act as its saviors, Hajime Nagumo finds himself the weakest link. As his friends and classmates are granted strong classes and impressive abilities due to their existing skills, he is given the weak title of Synergist. When a dungeon quest leaves him separated from his group, Hajime must discover his own talents or be left to rot in this world forever.''
I'm going to rate each aspect separately and give an argument as to why I evaluate it in that way, with solid and objective arguments.
Narrative: 1/10
This show sadly is absolutely awful as a start which is the narrative, or plot. The story itself is bland, cringe and edgy all in one. It was like a rip off of every edgy isekai but much, much worse in every possible way.
At the very least shows like Rising of the Shield Hero had interesting starts even if they kinda did devolve into a standard isekai, loosing its way and becoming a generic harem even tho it had a great S1. Arifureta had none of that which is partly becuase of how awful that source material for it was and the other part being how terribly this adaptation was handle, but bad adaptations are kind of common with most animes overall.
The script for this show was really bad. Being horribly placed cutting out tons of content including the actual beggining of the story. Cutting out content as character introductions and characters dialogues/interactions for the sake of filler, it felt like a compilation rather than a coherent story which it has nothing to do which its actual manga. The plot holes were almost everywhere right from the first episode because of the lack of explanations for partically everything, every single time.
Then we got the comedy which was incredibly unfunny to me in it's own way. It was completely cringe and boring at best making the show extremely painful to watch as there's nothing worse than a comedy that u dont find funny at all. Fanservice was so shameless but it was no surprise, can't expect it otherwise. It's a heavy drop considering that as a writer you have the opportunity to develop a decent story and the only thing that comes to mind is to do a lot of fanservice to excuse the lack of quality of the series because it doesn't really have much to other rather than it. I expected it but it's still a disappointment
__Characters: -1/10

A bland isekai harem but somehow this show managed to make it even worse.
-Hajime: He was an extremely edgy teen with no substance to him. His motives, dialogue, goals and development was cut making a charicature of what he's supposed to be. He had no interesting traits or personal growth to support his character which it could have been the carry of the series but enden up being pure unrefined edge.
-Yue: She was just a vampire blonde loli that had a relationship with Hajime for some reason. Their dialogues were cut leaving her to stand on her own as a horrible written harem component, which pretty much was the way secondary characters were written too. What a shame she was so bad written with a supposed cute design to bait lolicons.
-Tio and Shia: They were pretty much annoying used for the only purpose to make fanservice ecchibait. Both were so meaningless and added nothing more than being more harem components to fuel this power fantasy of a series.
Visuals: 2/10
Characters design were so badly done without any kind of creativity or effort to make them unique and stand out, especially Hajime's which could have been okay but not being an edgelord. Then the actual animation of the show took a step further by having them look wonky and inconsistent pretty much all the time. The colours looked terrible and actually blurred out facial features at times which was disgraceful. Since it was so edgy, the colour palette made facial expressions of dread and suffering looked so out of place, forced and frankly hilariously bad.
Backgrounds were inconsistent. Sometimes they looked average and others unfinished and lacked so many details. They were unoriginal and lacked creativity which is vital for a fantasy setting like an isekai.
Then to top it all off, they added some of the worst CG i've ever seen. Worse than the Fate/Stay Night dragon from Deen's adaptation. (Fate is great tho.) The models looked like they came from an N64 game, having awful models and textures. The animation choosen for the CG looked really bad too with some of them not actually having animations and just fading away when they weren't needed anymore. Absolutely disgraceful. How anyone could've looked at this and thought it was okay to air i have no idea.
~~This one was actually funny~~__Audio: 2/10

The audio quality made for the trailer wasn't so bad and the opening was the only thing about this show that wasn't absolutely abysmal. The song wasn't that awful being the one decent thing in the show. Soundtracks were terrible Jazz tracks that didn't work and didn't fit with the show at all. They made the action scenes even more painful to watch than it already was. It didn't work correctly with the choreography, or lack there off, at all.
VA working was again bad. It sounded so fake and forced with no really honest tone or emotion on theis voice acting from practically every single character equally. Hajime's VA failed to deliver with his ''suffering'' which makes it so hard to empathyze with anyone, which just made it even more edgy and his ''cool'' one liners were so forced and sounded dreadful.
SUMMARY
Overall, Arifureta failed so bad in every single aspect that it made it so hard to watch for me. Is easily one of the worst anime to ever be released. It was a train wreck at everything from it's terrible direction and it's awful writing.
This was a really bad adaptation source which resulted in a wasted job that shouldnt be done so badly. It's hard to believe so many good animes won't have a second season but this show released it last year (2022).
Watch Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.
