Not the worst webcomic I've ever read but while the main character started out interesting there was barely any further development in her or any of the other generally blank personality side characters. It feels like barely anything in terms of plot was ever went into in detail, despite the constant over narration of 'tell don't show' so many plots were quickly brushed past like "Oh, well that's over now".
The art was decent but expressions on those other than the FL were often quite blank, thankfully this improved over the course of the story. The ML seemed to only develop any real personality near the end, and even then it was of ‘generally possessive and jealous of everyone near my FL’ which in my opinion hardly counts. There’s just no depth no layers everyone feels as 2D as a cardboard cutout and for all the time spent on the main characters theres hardly anything going on behind those eyes. At least not unless its explained in a text box because they don’t know how to show you what’s going on in more than a couple general looking panels.
There are only a handful of side characters, between the FL’s lady’s maids and a few of the friends made along the way, and the main character’s family. Over 150 chapters (Including epilogue) and time was spent getting to know none of them. They were basically just suddenly there now and would pop in and out as time goes by, mostly a lot of them are just standing in the background barely participating. All attention is on the ML & FL, other than a couple of times where it goes “Oh yeah the villain” and remembers to show them and their poor motivations for a bit.
Light spoiler complaint:
Overall I made myself read the whole thing, since it was all released already by the time I started, but I feel like most of that time was wasted because it went on for so long without anything of real depth happening.
