There are so many things I want to say, first of this manga isn’t completed, I searched it up and apparently the author went on hiatus and it’s been. 3. years. since this was last updated and if it wasn’t for me still being awake at 3am on a school night, I would’ve screamed for the pain and agony of an uncompleted manga. Especially as good as this one. It really made me feel like, why did I stay up till 3 just for it to hurt me this way? Maybe that’s just my personal problem.

Secondly, the story is FF (fucking fantastic). The world building focusing around folklore and gods, human x non-human, is frankly, one of my favorite type of trope of any stories if done right. And boy do this author went beyond the ‘done right’ zone, I felt so many emotions as I read this, laughter (albeit quietly since it was 3am), sadness, fear, bashful, etc. Aside from the world building, the characters are all so greatly written too. Both the MC(Izunome Chiharu) and ML(Rin) aren’t annoying dicks, plus the ML(who’s supposed to be the seme ig?) isn’t some god who uses his power as a powerful being to force himself onto the MC, he wants to love and be loved back by another person which made me feel so emotional and a lot better from the stupid ass story I read before this.

Thirdly, the ART. Oh my god the art. I want to kiss the author’s hands and bless their feet for walking on the same ground as me. They made the characters so goddamn beautiful. Not only are the character designs of the two couple are just candy to my eyes, heart pumping, soul sucking, beautiful ikemens, they can draw amazing expressions that moves you without needing words to describe what’s happening on that panel. When the MC comes back to his home being destroyed, the way he looked around dazedly but immediately going in to clean his grandmother’s portrait first broke me but the expression’s on the ML face when he saw the claw marks on the MC’s back, broke me even further. OUUUUU you should’ve seen my face when I see all the heartbreaking scenes. But it’s made up with the scene of their first night together. AND I SWEARR, their first intimate scene had made me go through so many things. You know when an art is amazing when it can make you feel so many emotions.

Lastly, since this work is unfinished, I have a rough idea of where this is headed? So to explain my rough understanding of what the ending of this manga could look like I’ll list some points that relates to my ideas while I can still remember:

1. MC tells ML that he’ll find an alternate way for them to be together but he’ll go with ML to the bottom of the spring if he can’t find a way in the end (although he didn’t say that last part out loud).
2. ML is a god that survives on the amount of people who believes in a folklore in which (non verbatim) “when a bad drought occurred, a man tells a white snake jokingly that he would give his daughter as it’s wife if it can make the sky rain, so the snake turned into a dragon and made the sky rain. At night, he came to the man’s house to take the man’s daughter as his wife just like the man had promised” but it has no ending since we don’t know what happened to the daughter and the dragon in the end.
3. ML is a small legend from MC’s hometown so he’s not a big name as other gods so when the amount of people who believes in him dwindle down, he will disappear.
4. MC’s grandma toldl him when he was young that “won’t it be exciting to not know the ending, since you can make your own ending” (non verbatim)
5. It seems like MC’s grandma made a bet and offered MC as ML’s wife and in turn wishes for MC to have a family after she dies and also give ML a person who will actually love him back.
6. MC is an author, a pretty popular and well known one too since he recently won an award for new and uprising authors.

So you might see where I might be going with this : the MC will write a suitable ending for the folklore (preferably an end where they both can be together happily without no restrain to ML’s status as a god) and publish it, with his name being a recent uprising author, the book will blow up in popularity and get the folklore (with an ending this time) to a more wide and general audience outside of his hometown, more people will begin to have beliefs for the god in the story so then, the ML can gain more authority to live just like the ending of his folklore, fulfilling grandma’s wish and they both live together happily ever after as families.
Sounds pretty promising right? Yknow grandma, I would actually love to see the ending of this manga, it’s not exciting to make up an ending for myself at all!! T__T
