The Family Circumstances of the Irregular Witch is about a couple of witches. One witch adopted this human girl, and now the girl is 16, and the family gets up to all sorts of shenanigans, and we meet a bunch of really cool and funny characters along the way. Man, why do I need to write so many words to tell people that this stuff is just funny? But, bug, how is it funny? Bro idk, explaining the joke is boring, and if we all knew the secret formula to comedy, every show would be funny. I think I'll just write about the characters here. When I think about this show, I think about the wacky, lovable characters.

Viola is a baddy. I mean she look GOOD. I don't know that, just from the character design. I know that bc other characters say as much. First and foremost, she is super protective of her mother, especially when it comes to potential romances. (It is funny bc; usually, the parent is protective of the child. Hahaha. Aren't you glad I explained the joke?) She's also really magically powerful; mix that with the energy of a youthful teenage girl, and y'know ya, get some wacky high jinx. The final element of her character is that she, like her mother, can be extremely sweet. You don't always see it bc the other side of that coin is her EXTREME VIOLENCE.

Visually, it's okay. It uses the classic anime technique of keeping the slow bits looking okay, then turning up the budget for more meaningful moments. Like the summoning of Pheonix witch all jokes aside looked pretty good.
Sound design is overall good I guess. Voice acting was actually great, but I don't really remember the music or sound effects.
The characters are great. They carry this whole thing. The comedy works bc these characters are awesome.
Overall haha, funny. It doesn't get much better than that. This show wasn't god-tier, it wasn't one of the greats, but man if it wasn't haha funny.
