Maybe it's because I've seen very few anime, but I have a problem. Not to be childish, which I'm not being since I'm 18, but I can't find the problems others have found in this 2nd part. My biggest problem in "Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken" was only the "Tensura Nikki" spin-off, which made me lose complete interest in anime (in general, not in this anime only). The reason for this review only 2 years after the end of production was because of its spin-off, but after 2 years I managed to finish it and enjoy this 2nd part, which I honestly don't mind at all.
The only problem in this part I find only in the final boss battle, where I actually have to agree with the other reviews and threads (especially this one by Clinsen and this one by LookAtThisDude): Shion is too overpowered to go up against a demon king, regardless of whether this one sucks or not. In my opinion it would have been interesting instead that Shion was controlled by Kleiman, that would have been a twist no less.
For the rest, the fact that new alliances are being forged, between favourites and losers in war, the story of this slime is by no means to be described as trivial (not that it took that much effort, though...). It's very nice that he's managing to create his own 'kingdom' of peace with his friends, you don't always have to find the villain standing in your way. If the big kingdom has no reason to attack you, there's no problem (or at least that's my thought).
Again, I give little reason to the reviews and threads I've read, because otherwise I really enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to both the movie (P.S. I just found out that the film came out in November 2022, so I definitely have to catch up with it, Although, from what I've seen from the trailer, I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. In my opinion it's just another spin-off put on a bit as filler, so not completely useless, adding bits of plot to the fire, but without them you can do without. (As for the 2 movies (I haven't seen the 3rd one yet) of Boku no Hero Academia, they serve almost nothing for the plot and the authors could have saved them, especially the first one, the second one a bit less) and the next season. (Also because I want to see where they want to go with Laplace being OP, probably just to create hype for the next projects).
Between likeable, goofy and interesting characters, this anime saga still remains excellent in my eyes, with an average rating of 8.5/10, and this part deserves a full 9, no ifs or buts.
Thank you for your attention and sorry if you find any grammatical errors in English or inconsistencies in the meaning of a sentence (I am Italian), and excuse me if I completely changed the subject towards the end, comparing this anime to another one.
