This review does not include any major spoilers. However, most of it would make even more sense if you have already seen season 1. Nonetheless, I tried to include my thoughts and opinions on what makes this worth watching. Everything is in my humble opinion. ;']
Shiguang Dailiren’s Season 2 has an entirely different feel than Season 1. This season doesn’t involve any of their clients. Season 2 serves as an entire mystery that is solved the more you keep on watching.
Li Tianchen wishes to go back in time to save his mother, so he and his sister could live a better life without their abusive father.
Qian Jin, a lawyer who claims his wife is the “mistake” of it all and wants to go back in time to fix his life.
Li Tianxi, the twin sister of Li Tianchen, is mute but holds a notable presence in the later episodes of the season. It hurt seeing her cry most of the time, some might find this annoying bc it makes her appear as a damsel in distress. But it wasn’t that she needed someone to save her, rather it was a natural response to what was going on, and what makes us human.
Liu Xiao (left in the picture), Tianchen’s childhood friend, doesn’t have a lot of showtime but even as a kid, he was already so mature and seemed to know all what would happen for certain. I’ll leave the rest of the possibilities up to you.

Now, it wouldn’t be Link Click if it weren’t for the constant twists and turns.

Cheng Xiaoshi ’s most memorable moment in this season was when he tried to outsmart the antagonists, Tianchen and Qian Jin. Each side, the protagonists and the antagonists, try to be steps ahead of each other. This constant match point is what keeps the entire season thrilling.
Qiao Ling is also quite memorable, especially when looking for Cheng Xiaoshi. I must have forgotten how quick she is to catch things.
Lu Guang ’s most memorable moment in this season would have to be when he surprised everyone by coming in at the most inopportune moment to save Cheng Xiaoshi. When you reach this part, it makes you wonder how tricky time travel and playing with the past is.
THE MUSIC is epic once again. 白鲨JAWS (the band) never fails to amaze me with their theme songs for the series. The more you listen to the lyrics, the more you notice the meaning and how it ties in with the events across the seasons.

Regarding the ending, it makes me want to rewatch the entire season and try to catch things I didn’t notice before. Lu Guang is best known for his quick ability to notice things and stick to the rules. However, the ending seems to contradict that.
Either way, the strong bond between Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi goes beyond timelines. I love the efforts they go through just to save and protect each another.
TL;DR
I recommend you watch this season if you’re fond of mysteries and dark thrilling scenes. As well as, if you’re like me who likes guessing what happened and predicting what happens. I find it more fun that way.
Most importantly! I highly recommend this if you want to know what happened to Lu Guang at the end of season 1.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
have a good one now. ;]
