I've started this series half a year ago during my exam phase to have something to look forward to every day after studying and before going to sleep. It had a healing effect to me honestly. So half a year later I continued watching Doremi Sharp while studying for my exams. I felt the same thing but even much stronger and at that point I couldn't wait to see it out to the end. The end has come today. This is a story that tells you so many messages: the importance of growing up, the bond between a mother and her child, the fact that we can do so many things even without having magic and many many things more. One thing I love about this series is how it feels like you are growing with the characters, gaining experience and exploring yourself. And that is not even due to the fact of the series running in live time, so when the story ended after four years, the series also ended after four years. Hana is the strongest case of said growth for me. We see her getting born, grow and learn all the things the world has to offer. It's the reason Hana has become my favourite character because it feels like there is some special sort of connection, a magical bond. I think Motto has done a great job building up to this season, as we didn't have as clear of a cut, since the ending wasn't as sad as the other seasons. And Dokkan has just perfected everything this show stands for. It brims of creativity with amazing direction pretty much every episode. Nothing gave me the feeling that it's a waste of time. Everything felt completely coherent and worked towards telling the story that wants to be told. Countless episodes stood out to me for completely different reasons, but it's too many to name them here. The final arc has acted as the climax of everything that it should be.
SPOILERS AHEAD
I am glad that I have watched Naisho before to have dokkan's last episode be the final episode that I would see because it really does everything right and everyone should watch doremi this way.
So, as they say, your next favourite anime could just be around the next corner and that being said Ojamajo Doremi Dokkan (in actuality all of Ojamajo Doremi) has managed to become my favourite anime.
I'm not the world's unluckiest girl. I am actually the world's happiest girl.
