#Introduc--fuck it here's the whole review
Onara Gorou is a meme brought to us by the wonderful studio ICLA who you may or may not recognize as the creators of the acclaimed horror series, Yami Shibai, and the other meme they created, Sekai no Yami Zukan. One must ask themselves, why would a studio primarily known for their "horror" series ever one day just fucking do a show entirely about talking farts?
But to pin the blame for Onara Gorou entirely on ICLA would be disingenuous indeed, and I try to be an impartial and fair reviewer, as you may know if you've read any of my previous Korean webtoon reviews. No, we have to look to Onara Gorou's acclaimed director, Takashi Taniguchi. Who is responsible for several creations that aren't even on Anilist and god help me, I refuse to be the one who adds them here.

I personally choose to believe that just one day between Yami Shibai 3 and 4, this madman, Takashi Taniguchi just suddenly showed up one day at ICLA.
You are the acclaimed creators of Yami Shibai, yes? I want you to help me create this very funny fart show. I will be the director. I have a gun. You're going to help me make this show about talking farts, and I have a gun, you better help me make this show happen. Or who knows, this gun may just accidentally happen to go off.

They definitely didn't do it because they genuinely thought it was funny or for money. Yami Shibai is a wonderful series, and all five seasons are perfect, so I know ICLA is better than... than this.
Really, I have to just underline how much of a psychopath one would have to be to really push for this show's creation. Thirteen episodes about talking farts. Even in the format of a TV short, it gets almost IMMEDIATELY old but yet... thirteen episodes!

There was absolutely no reason for this to be anything more than yet another weird ONA of this Taniguchi guy. I have absolutely no fucking idea which side to blame for this. Did Taniguchi genuinely just want to do a collaboration with this studio that is primarily known for their horror series, with that collaboration ending up being this talking fart show? Did ICLA genuinely want to break out of horror and into the comedy genre? Like there is straight up a horror episode of this and that made me think, was this idea originally just a scrapped Yami Shibai idea?

The farts are talking and living entities, and the people that they are sprouting from are just hollow shells that never once talk. The farts control them. They are hosts to their farts. Then their farts go on to marry other farts, and have families... of farts!
At the end of the day, after all of the farts have subsided, I just have to ask myself. Did anybody involved in this show seriously have any faith in it? That it'd be found funny or received positively at all? And really... the answer I've come to is...

...Of fucking course not. I can't. I just can't. I refuse to believe otherwise. Literally none of it was funny outside of maybe the horror episode because of how hilariously well it would fit in an actual season of Yami Shibai. In addition, the show just straight up ends with the characters singing to all of the farts making repeated fart noises and a character of course lights a cigarette, and the school explodes and everyone dies. "Onara Gorou is now over, we're never speaking of this ever again as there'll never be a sequel, now we have to get to work on Yami Shibai 4."
In my opinion, an awful show that was made with the express purpose of making an awful show is automatically worse than any terrible show whose creators actually tried to make a good show but they just horribly failed. So, I give Onara Gorou a 1 out of a 100.
Now, let's never speak of this ever again and please downvote this review. And I'll see you again inevitably, when ICLA drops Yami Shibai 6.
Did they fucking shoot this in an abandoned building??? I have so many questions for ICLA, it's ridiculous.
