Cowboy Bebop is the kind of show that has its own charm. It is a unique experience with mature, carefully written characters, awesome comedy, wonderful events, dazzling action, stunning drawing and animation, unforgettable events, and an OSTs that you don't see in any anime. It is just a classic masterpiece.
Noir is a cinematic genre characterized by its dark and mysterious atmosphere, and its stories are often full of crime and a dark atmosphere. And wow, how overwhelming the anime was. The artistic choices were amazing, from the stunning jazz music, to the carefully drawn backgrounds, to the amazing action scenes, everything was great.
The best episodes are when one character's past catches up with them and the remaining three come together. But instead of this, I didn't find a problem with the direction of the episodic work, unlike many, and I do not know why some people didn't like it, even though its effect on the characters was clear and the themes and topics that the episodes dealt with were terrible.
I loved the themes that the anime discussed throughout the episodes, such as identity and the search for oneself, the past, estrangement and homeland, loneliness, sin and atonement for it, love and loss, freedom, and others... Great philosophical themes and topics that the episodes addressed and left noticeable effects on the characters.
I loved the adulthood and maturity in the anime. There are no bad dialogues that do not add any value to the story, nor dull comedy that takes you out of the atmosphere. Maturity was one of the strengths that distinguished the personalities and the general work atmosphere.
I loved indoor spaces and their diversity, and I was shocked by the amount of effort put into adding details to weapons, aircraft, and various equipment. I really appreciate them adding many languages (such as Arabic) to public places and even some business figures. They even added an entire segment of a Moroccan neighborhood with Moroccan music to the film, as a form of credibility.
I was impressed by the main characters and how well they were written, their interactions with each other, and the maturity and acceptance that was present in bebop. Even the side characters were beautiful and their backstories interesting. They weren't the best, but they were an important factor in moving the main plot of the work.
I have a lot to talk about (interior/exterior aircraft designs, action scenes such as chases or hand-to-hand combat/weapons, attention to details of places, details of weapons and various equipment, soundtracks and music, great voice acting, etc.) But I thought to make the review as simple and concise as possible.
Conclusion: Cowboy Bebop anime is without a doubt a distinct classic and worth watching. I consider it a great choice as a fun anime with a mature cast and awesome action. Cowboy Bebop.. an absolute masterpiece.
