#####It's been a few years but I'll write a review of the first manga I really liked.
Gantz, even if it is a highly appreciated work, is not a manga suitable for everyone, especially for defenders of political correctness given that there are scenes of rape, nudes of female figures (even minors... perhaps almost all minors), blood and death in large quantities.
Gantz is a work that leaves nothing to chance, every element contributes to the evolution of the narrative.
The Gantz manga makes fun of human stupidity in all its facets, and this is one of the messages it wants to give.
The protagonist himself, Kurono, is portrayed as an incel jerk who only thinks about pussy and how much he would like to have sex, while Kato seems to embody the hypocrisy of the typical moralist.
The female figures, even those apparently with a strong character, the author will ultimately show us what and what her doing would happen to these girls when faced with certain extreme situations, the same goes for every type of male character.
Gantz highlights not only the most senseless actions and opinions of people, including those dictated by religious beliefs and other dogmas, but also the positive aspects of humanity.
If it had been written today, it would undoubtedly have included a satirical criticism of woke activists (and ended up lynched).
This manga goes beyond the simple concept of survival, it makes fun of everything and everyone with an irreverent approach devoid of political correctness.
Each scene is carefully represented and each draw has its own sense of existence, so much so that it gives the impression of watching an anime rather than reading a manga.
Approach Gantz without expecting an in-depth examination of the topics covered.
The profound concepts are there, but they are presented in a crude and arrogant way, in addition to the drawings (the one with the dog's face is my favourite), this is what I liked about Gantz because it made reading even more pleasant for me.
Gantz, from my point of view, is the best manga of all.
It had everything I was looking for science fiction, violence, foul language and blasphemy.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (to be read only after finishing the manga)
The Italian mission arc serves only to show that they are not the only soldiers recruited, there are others from different parts of the world, and these aliens appear everywhere. Kurono’s splitting, which I find incredible, indicates that Gantz wanted to help its soldiers or, more likely, because it values Kurono as crucial for victory. Thanks to him, many missions have ended successfully. Kurono’s brother sacrificed himself to protect his comrades and give them a chance at survival. Hikawa and Chaki become part of Gantz’s team, but not Kurono’s. In this Italian arc, we see that there are others, so I think this hypothesis is the most accurate.
Criticism of the narrative that some have encountered, issues of excessive slowness, excessive speed, irrelevant content, or changes in direction, I haven't seen this problems. Everything is developed to entertain, maintaining a slow growth for character development while introducing fast paced scenarios for more engaging action and expanding the context in which the soldiers find themselves. This reveals more mysteries and creates new ones. This type of storytelling may not appeal to everyone, but the Vampires were placed there because Hiroya Oku felt it was the right time to advance the plot, previously, other developments were in progress. The character growth and developments occur gradually. Much more is shown beyond just missions. So, even if some believe they should have been introduced earlier, the narrative has no issues, it's developed in a way that some may not like.
Regarding women in the manga they are developed, experience growth, and are not entirely weak or useless. However, even if some have strong personalities, they remain women. On Gantz, women can weigh 30kg (of breasts only). We're not in a "Woke" American film where they can do things they can't. If a girl seems annoying and useless, it's because such personalities exist. Hiroya Oku satirizes all types of personalities without gender distinctions. Complaining about seeing naked women often doesn't make sense because there's a lot of "Ero Guro" in this manga, it's like complaining about finding idol music in an idol group anime.
_Here, everything is raw and vulgar. Sentiments are expressed not in words but through actions and thoughts. In fact, in this manga, paying attention to the details of each drawing is essential to grasp information through body language, movements, and the written sound effects. Some information is conveyed without words, an approach uncommon in other manga. Many manga unnecessarily prolong explanations, even when readers have already understood everything, resulting in awkwardness.
Gantz is not only entertainment but also art. Art isn't just sweetness, it can be vulgar. It should not only be understood but also interpreted._
#####Sono passati alcuni anni ma scriverò comunque una recensione al primo manga che mi è piaciuto davvero.
Gantz, anche se è un'opera molto apprezzata, non è un manga adatto a tutti, sopratutto per i difensori del politicamente corretto visto che sono presenti scene di stupri, nudi di figure femminili(anche minorenni... forse quasi tutte minorenni), sangue e morte in gran quantità.
Gantz è un'opera che non lascia nulla al caso, ogni elemento contribuisce all'evoluzione della narrazione.
Il manga Gantz si prende gioco della stupidità umana in tutte le sue sfaccettature, ed è questo uno dei messaggi che vuole dare.
Lo stesso protagonista, Kurono, è ritratto come un coglione incel che pensa solo alla figa e al quanto vorrebbe fare sesso, mentre Kato sembra incarnare l'ipocrisia del tipico moralista.
Le figure femminili, anche quelle apparentemente dal carattere forte, l'autore alla fine mostrerà cosa e che fine farebbero di fronte a certe situazioni estreme, lo stesso vale per ogni tipo di personaggio maschile.
Gantz mette in luce non solo le azioni e le opinioni più insensate della gente, comprese quelle dettate da credenze religiose e altri dogmi, ma anche gli aspetti positivi dell’umanità.
Se fosse stato scritto oggi, senza alcun dubbio avrebbe incluso pure una critica satirica verso gli attivisti woke (finendo linciato).
Questo manga va oltre il semplice concetto di sopravvivenza, si prende gioco di tutto e tutti con un approccio irriverente e privo di politicamente corretto.
Ogni scena è accuratamente rappresentata e ogni vignetta ha un suo senso di esistere, tanto da dare l’impressione di assistere ad un anime piuttosto che di star a leggere un manga.
Approcciatevi a Gantz senza aspettarvi una disamina approfondita dei temi trattati.
I concetti profondi ci sono, ma vengono presentati in maniera rozza e arrogante, oltre ai disegni(quello con la faccia del cane è il mio preferito), questo è quello che mi è piaciuto di Gantz perché mi ha reso la lettura ancor più piacevole.
Gantz, dal mio punto di vista, è il manga migliore di tutti.
Aveva tutto quello che cercavo fantascienza, violenza, linguaggio volgare e blasfemia.

L'arco della missione italiana serve solo a dimostrare che non sono gli unici soldati reclutati, ce ne sono altri da diverse parti del mondo e mostra che questi alieni compaiono ovunque. La replica di Kurono, che trovo incredibile, indica che Gantz voleva aiutare i suoi soldati o, più probabilmente, perché considera Kurono cruciale per la vittoria, dato che grazie a lui molte missioni si sono concluse con successo. Il fratello di Kurono si è sacrificato per proteggere i suoi compagni e dare loro una possibilità di sopravvivenza. Hikawa e Chaki entrano a far parte della squadra di Gantz ma non di quella di Kurono. In questo arco italiano vediamo l'esistenza di altre squadre, quindi penso che questa ipotesi sia la più giusta.
Le critiche sulla narrazione che alcuni hanno riscontrato, problemi di troppa lentezza, troppa velocità, cose inutili o cambi di direzione, io non li ho visti... è tutto sviluppato per intrattenere tenendo una crescita lenta per sviluppare i personaggi ma con scenari dallo sviluppo veloce per avere un'azione più coinvolgente e ampliare il contesto in cui man mano i soldati si trovano, svelando sempre più misteri e creandone di nuovi. Questo tipo di narrazione può non piacere, però i Vampiri sono stati messi lì perchè per Hiroya Oku era giusto mandare avanti la trama in quel momento, prima ci stava lo sviluppo di altro. Le crescite e gli sviluppi sono fatti con calma. Viene mostrato molto altro, oltre alle sole missioni. Quindi anche se per qualcuno andavano messi prima, la narrazione non ha nessun problema è sviluppata solo in un modo in cui ad alcuni non piace.
Riguardo alle donne del manga sono sviluppate, hanno una crescita e non sono del tutto deboli o inutili però anche se alcune possono avere un carattere forte restano donne, donne che in Gantz possono pesare 30kg(di solo tette), non siamo in un film woke americano dove possono fare cose che non possono. Se una ragazza può risultare fastidiosa e inutile è perché esistono ragazze con quella personalità, Hiroya Oku deride ogni tipo di personalità senza distinzione di genere. Lamentarsi di vedere spesso donne nude, non ha senso perché ci sta molto "Ero Guro" in questo manga, sarebbe come lamentarsi di trovare musica di idol in un anime di gruppi idol.
_Qui è tutto rozzo e volgare, i sentimentalismi non sono espressi a parole ma con le azioni e i pensieri. Di fatto, in questo manga, serve prestare attenzione ai dettagli di ogni disegno per recepire informazioni attraverso il linguaggio del corpo, i movimenti e le scritte dei suoni, è fondamentale per apprezzare appieno Gantz. Alcune informazioni vengono trasmesse senza parole, questo approccio non è comune in altri manga. Molti manga, anche se si è già capito tutto, dilungano inutilmente le spiegazioni, risultando imbarazzanti.
Gantz oltre ad essere intrattenimento è arte. L'arte non è solo dolcezza può essere anche volgare, non va solo compresa ma anche interpretata._
