One Piece is the greatest story ever told. The story follows the main character Luffy's dream to become the pirate king. One Piece is my favorite media and my favorite anime, as I have always been a fan of adventures. In 2022, I was new to anime and heard about One Piece, which has more than 1000 episodes. My excitement for starting the anime was stronger than my fear of its length.
I believed that maybe One Piece was the big adventure story I always wanted in my life, and I was absolutely right. One Piece is not just a show, it's a way of feeling. I will never stop loving it because it is a part of my life. This anime taught me about freedom, friendship, loyalty, and the value of love. One Piece is more than just a Shounen anime with the main character fighting goofy villains.
As the show advances, it concentrates on real-life issues such as slavery, racism, poverty, discrimination, and corruption. The way Mr. Oda addressed the real-life problems in this show is great, as it connects the fiction with reality, which makes the audience relate to it even more. All of these references fit very well within the story line. Mr. Oda has done a remarkable job of addressing significant issues in his work, which are often neglected by others in real life.
There are a lot of diverse cultures and things to learn from this show, as Luffy and his crew travel to different islands. All the characters in the show are captivating. I am fond of the way the supporting characters are given attention and backstories, which make them even more captivating. I actually felt Oda's dedication and love for his work while watching this show and reading the manga. Luffy's free spirit and ability to heal broken hearts without being boastful make it impossible not to fall in love with him. Luffy is the only friend that everyone deserves. Even the villains can be loved and despised at the same time.
You know the villains are well-written when you feel a lot of hatred for them. Every character has something to teach and you can even form bonds with them.
One Piece made me laugh, entertain me with its action scenes, melt my heart with its beautiful moments, and bring tears to my eyes with its sad scenes. I loved every single second of it, I simply can't stop looking at it. The show's length has never scared me from starting it. This show was absolutely meant for me and I wish it had a 1000 more episodes.
No matter how difficult it was, One Piece has always brought me happiness, and that's how much it has helped me. I remember when my academics and relationships with people were falling apart. It was a really hard time for me. At that time, I was too frustrated and sad to do anything about it, so I decided to watch One Piece (Wano arc). Watching it brought me happiness and made me forget about all my problems. I have learned many good things from this show that have actually helped me in real life. One Piece completes me.
If you're looking for an exciting adventure in life, I recommend starting this show. You won't regret it.
