I started by watching the entirety of the Universal Century in order of events, and the buildup was worth it. Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn was an amazing culmination of the Gundam universe thus far. The technology introduced in the show was really cool and impressive. I enjoyed the new cast of characters but also liked the familiar faces from the old shows like Bright Noa and others. Full Frontal was a creative villain and really had me thinking if Char really survived the Axis Shock. The Unicorn Gundams and psychoframe tech were really cool. NT-D mode was by far my favorite addition to the already powerful arsenal that the Gundams possess. The first time it transformed into NT-D mode gave me goosebumps with how cool it was, and the visuals and music worked together to create a real sense that this is truly the peak of Gundam. The animation work and quality were really on point and made the show carry the weight it needed. Something this show has over the others in the series is the OST. The music in Unicorn was always noticeable and far better than in previous shows. Whenever the music for the White Unicorn started playing, it always made me feel that something big was about to happen. Newtype stuff in Unicorn was also explained pretty well in my opinion. The revelation of Laplace's Box changes a lot about the future of Gundam, and will really shake up the views of people in the show and also, I believe, finally show everyone that Newtypes truly exist and that they are not some sort of propaganda or something else.
