Honestly haven't had this much fun viewing any anime in years , honestly the pacing isn't bad I thought it would suck given how many episodes but nah its quite solid and I quite like two part approach . Adding Iggy was such a good idea !! I really like him and his interactions with polnareff and jotaru , his fight with that guardian bird is sooo epic !! like honestly such a cool fight and it helps further iggy's character as well and the final scene where he saves polnareff and proving to cool ice that dogs have just as much drive as humans is fantastic stuff . Honestly the creativity of stands still doesn't fail to impress me , can't even name one which I find bad . Oringo's episodes were some of my fav although I am still somewhat confused on how jotaro survived the second time ( I think the prophecy was jotaro 's comic getting bullets). The anubis episode was so unexpected like damn just straight up adaptation .Man these next 4 episodes were some of the funniest ones I know they are somewhat troopy but I don't mind them that much and besides it gives characters other than jotaro to shine just as much a constant throughout the anime which is welcome change . That scene of kid Jotaru punching the shit out of the other guy and jotaro just making the other guy faint by bluffing are some of the coolest moments I have ever witnessed and they were so funny as well . I really dig the conecpt of your soul leaving your body when you accept your defeat such an interesting concept which I believe ties into the final confrontation between dio and jotaro as well and both the D'arby are such cool villains . I also like how they explore different levels of loyalties of dio 's servants through hol horse and cool ice etc I like the little glimpses of dio's stand that we get and how his only logical option is to follow dio . KInda wish Dio met Iggy wonder it would have reminded him of Jonathan's dog but really seeing Iggy from cold and uncaring towards humans to risking his life twice for humans was a nice plot progression . So as we enter the final fight everything related to Avdo( I also really enjoyed the personality change from near death experience gave him and it helps grow his dynamic with polnareff ) l was done so well from him telling them to fend for themselves to sacrificing himself again for polnareff . I also kinda like how abrupt his death is compared to other ones really goes to show us how polnareff is feeling and root for him , it didn't feel repetitive at all ands more gravitas especially that line which he says to iggy " I was seem to find value in things after they are lost " and I also really like Dio's interaction with cool ice and the theme of even giving your life away for a goal and cool ice's stand is so unique , that moment was so cool when they use Iggy's stand to replicate dio . I like how Suzie gets so screen time ( although the placement does seems kinda weird as its after avdol's death ) and how she 's not a completely oblivious . Man I knew I already like Kakyoin but little bits of his character motivation we are fed through out the series and it playing into how he wants to overcome his fear while fighting against D'arby to wanting to save the people who could finally accept him for who he was which no one was able to do since childhood since he was born with a stand ( such a nice concept kinda wish it got explored more though ) and his death against Dio also feels very meaningful as he finds out about dio's stand and informs Joseph . Everything involving the final fight is JUST PEAK slowly how we are drip fed info about Dio;s stand and it being compared to Jotaro's stand ( nice foreshadowing ever since that oingo episode ) and although initially I was kinda hoping we would get more of Dio's philosophy and interaction with Jotaro but after reading a reddit thread and viewing it in retrospect what we did get I feel really amazing expecially his initial encounter with polnareff and how he tries to get him to hiss side by explaining why humans live to achieve mental peace and what greater mental peace than to serve him his superiority really shines through as humans will only live for a couple of years compared to him so he views everything other than him as beneath him and off inherently less value and his goal from part 1 of wanting to rule the world really ties into his backstory from childhood of how getting told he is lesser than his entire life really made him into who he is I also like how due to his meeting with Jonatahn and his defeat he has become more warry and is even happy when he thinks jotaro died quickly and his stand reveal was so amazing how the world itself bends to his rule but it then later being revealed that his power isn't unique but Jotaro can do as well and in less amount of practice than him implies he is slightly better ( probably due to dio not having full control over his new body and jotaro experiencing live demonstration ) and I actually really like Araki's understated character work of Jotaro and Dio like the implication that Dio only lost due to how frustrated he was with just now not fully healing his leg he goe sto kick jotaro but him accepting defeat inside due to how jotaro embarrassed him leading his stand to break from he knee and alos him seeing Jotaro 's offer to not strike when he was down remind him of Jonathan and him seeing that as a weakness . I also like how Jotaro who is usually calm and collected just looses it after one after other of his friends including his own grandfather and him saving Joseph at the end and also his interaction with polnareff at the end and it ending with him smiling and showing some emotion would have loved a scene of reunion with his mom and grandmother though. I also like how the vampire and hamon stuff isn't completely overlooked and plays into role in the Dio fight and the interaction between dio and joseph in general the fake death scene was also good how Joseph dies smiling and says he had fun and by telling Jotaro to not loose his temper and if anyone is going to cheat death might as well be Joseph for the second time . Kinda hope we get to see Dio again though ( not really sure if it happens but I think I saw some spoiler somewhere )
