I completed 10 volumes of the Light Novel and the Web Novel. The story from Light Novel after volume 10 will not be included in this review.
Story (7/10): The opening is basic; everyone can see the plot is similar to the average Isekai series but the MC is not reincarnated person. After receiving a blue jade that preserved his ancestor's memories and history, the journey of him began. Mysteries and twists will gradually be revealed
Main (8/10): MC's loss of life experience comes first. Don't worry; his development is sound and obvious, and the problems will be rationally explained later. For my part, I really enjoy the scene where he levels up and starts acting strangely since he can't control himself. That makes me chuckle.
Characters (7/10): Because this work is focused on the harem genre, there are many female characters. Some of them—like Novem, Miranda, Shanon,... will be exceptionally well written, including the characters' thoughts, personalities and their action. However, the characters development is really uneven. Some characters are very prominent and the rest are barely mentioned and deeply written. This is unfair and wasteful; the author creates many characters but only some of them make impressive in this series
Pacing (6/10): It seem a bit slow which makes most readers feel bored and paused/dropped. Be patient! If you passed in 4 or 5 volumes, the effort will be rewarded. Have patient! If you passed in 4 or 5 volumes, the effort will be rewarded. Thinking the first was just a trailer to introduce the setting and the frame for the next plot
Power system (2/10): That is the biggest weakness of series. Skills are very basic and simple similar to other fictions with settings in medieval times. Lyle's skill ''Connection" is related with a situation I like
, which is why I give him one point more.
World Building (7/10): It's Ok. The author illustrates the challenges of national leadership, the intricacies of politics, diplomacy, economy, guilds, and other issues, even though he does not describe too much in detail about a nation's history or lore. In order to make the stories more easier to read, he also included some amusing parts.
Bonus:
Comedy (10/10): Without a doubt, the series excelled in this genre. The issues written are both fun and deeply satirical about polygamy make some people stop having the illusion ~~or not~~ that having a harem is good. That is a big problem
Conclusion
This fiction is so good, maybe the best of Yomu Mishima. It helps reader have a new view on the story of a MC with his harem. Moreover, the idea for the sequel for this work also very creative and extremely expected. Unfortunately, the author probably no longer continues writing this series as well as the LN version has also stopped at vol 10 in recent years
