Hey guys. I'm gonna make this review short and simple because I haven't written a proper review in like forever and all of my past reviews on this account are dated and from when I was way younger.

Ah yes, the third season of Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-. I've been following this anime for a very long time, and it's been one of my favorites for years because of it's story, characters, and very intriguing plot(s). I was bouncing off the walls when season 3 was announced, but after loosely reading ahead in the light novel and web novel, as well as hearing details about it here and there, I was afraid of what direction the Re:Zero anime would be heading. I'm happy to say, however, that I was quick to be proven wrong about my worries.
Re:Zero season 3 provides an action-packed experience whilst also delivering a lot of character-driven plots and development. I wasn't expecting this at all while the show was airing, making it a very pleasant surprise for me. It also provided a brand new type of art style and look compared to the prior seasons of Re:Zero. I've seen the criticisms of it, but I genuinely cannot understand what people think is wrong with it. It's a much cleaner look and finish, and I honestly prefer some of the ways the characters look in a lot of scenes from this season compared to the prior ones; but I digress. Along with this new look, the animation has also received an upgrade as well, feeling on-par with a lot of the action anime seen today.
Going back to story, the balance of action, plot, and character elements provided throughout was very fun to follow along with and watch. The fights spread among the main cast, as well as seeing the blends of magic/power made the season overall a fun and engaging watch for me. I'm unsure of what the cut content from the light novels/web novel was, but if anything and from the sounds of it, it didn't seem like too much content was cut from the anime. I've only heard about details

All in all, Re:Zero Season 3 was a wonderful and faithful addition to the series, and even if it becomes overshadowed by it's later seasons (especially season 4), it still would have content worth watching for and provide an entertaining bridge into the greater parts of Re:Zero. Having followed this anime for half a decade now, I'm glad that it is still paying off greatly, and I only hope for more great content from this series!
