My Review of "Spice and Wolf: MERCHANT MEETS THE WISE WOLF"!

I pray to have a strong alcoholic tolerance like Holo
Story
The story focuses on two characters: A wandering merchant by the name Kraft Lawrence and a God named Holo. Kraft wants to take Holo to the North, where Holo says she comes from. However, she doesn’t remember exactly where she originated from, so they have to visit multiple villages and meet new faces in hopes to get a closer lead to where Holo’s from.
Characters
Kraft Lawrence is a greedy merchant. A lot of the time, he is blinded by profit to consider important factors such as Holo’s feelings and current events to make smarter decisions and think considerately. Holo is a Wise God of the Harvest. She can transform into a massive wolf and transport herself through wheat. She loves Kraft, but Kraft is oblivious to this knowledge due to his focus on money as a merchant.
The Good
You have no idea how immersed I was into this story. Everytime Lawrence did something, I felt like I was involved in his events. Both Lawrence and Holo were equally developed as characters in their own ways, and I loved it everytime I would learn something new about them or if they changed or advanced their stories. There were plenty of emotional scenes that had been well built up and the pacing was done quite well. Most of the characters were entertaining and enjoyable (excluding Amarty that guy can burn in hell) which helped make these 25 episodes go by fast. There are plenty of memorable quotes. In fact, Holo is quite a very quotable character. Definitely gonna use that “When offered cold and hunger, I choose instead to slumber.”
format(webp))The Bad
Sometimes, Lawrence’s blindness to love was too much for me. I enjoy being into a story, but if that story is someone making plenty of dumb decisions while also being oblivious to what’s in front of them, there is only so much of that I can handle before I go insane. But I cannot exaggerate how glad I felt when Lawrence finally understood everything. It was plenty of episodes of pain in exchange for a really great moment of relief.
The Downright Ugly
Nothing downright ugly

(Except the cuck arc with Amanty. I was not a fan of the cuck arc.)
Is It Worth The Watch?
Despite the 25 episode count, I would say that this is worth the watch. For anyone who’s watched the OG version, it’s still worth the watch as it adds onto what the OG anime had. Also, there’s a S2 on the way so I’m looking forward to that!
Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope this helped you with your decision on whether to watch this anime or not! If you already have watched it, I hope that you can agree with me with some of the points I made. ^^
