Orb: On the Movements of the Earth (チ。-地球の運動につい) is undoubtedly one of the best anime that has been released lately, directed by Kenichi Shimizu and produced by Madhouse studio.

format(webp))The first thing I want to talk about is the animation of this series, it is true that there are people who mention that it is not its strong point, in my opinion, although it is true that this is nothing from the other world, it adapts well to what is the anime, for example when representing the landscapes highlighting how the night sky is animated, since it is an important element within the plot because it is where the protagonists draw their conclusions to try to discover the truth.
format(webp))The story takes place in 15th century Poland, a time when heretical ideas led to the burning at the stake of those who possessed that mentality. This anime is considered a seinen and a historical anime so do not expect a series with a lot of action and fights, however in the work if there are very good moments of action where there is enough tension which you will enjoy.
In terms of the narrative aspect, this work is quite different from the others when it comes to telling the story, this is because it has multiple protagonists who take the reins of the anime at different times.
In this story we do not only follow the path of a person to fulfill his personal goal, but we are participants of how society clings to seek the truth in any period of time and this leeds in people to risk their lifes for this.
>-heliocentrism is my faith
In this case the truth they are looking for is heliocentrism, a topic that may not be very attractive at first but it is quite interesting to see how society lived deceived and the church was the main culprit, repressing any idea that was against it with the help of the inquisitors, a group that has a very important role in the play since they represent the greatest threat to those seeking the truth.
In the group mentioned above I would like to highlight Nowak,

this character is the main villain throughout the course of the story and in my opinion the best written character of all for its evolution and internal conflicts, although it is a character that you can get to hate is also the one who is the protagonist in some of the best moments of the series.
This is the end of my review, I think this anime should have been nominated for anime of the year, but well, life is not always fair.
