The Kamen Rider Series is a Japanese superhero media franchise consisting of tokusatsu television programs, films, manga, and anime, created by manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. Kamen Rider media usually revolves around the titular defined group of motorcycle-riding superheroes with an insect motif who fights supervillains, often known as kaijin (怪人, lit. strange person)

Takeshi Hongo is the most gifted student in Johoku University's Biology Laboratory. His brilliant mind and exceptional physical abilities are noticed by an evil secret society, Shocker, which plans to take over the world! Takeshi is kidnapped and given an operation to transform him into a human being with amazing grasshopper abilities.

However, just before his brain is remodeled, he is saved by his mentor, Dr. Midorikawa, and escapes from the enemy hideout just in time. From this moment on, Takeshi Hongo became a righteous warrior whom Mother Nature had summoned

This work is a must see for everyone who fancies ishinomori work..it has great art,good panel and reminiscent of tezuma Who ishinomori was an assistant to.

Kamen rider follows Takeshi as he fights evil known as the shocker and experience losses with wins ..it shows his growth and his determination to protect human life and fight over all odds Genuinely this felt like a good beginning into Kamen rider mangas and I would recommend for everyone new to the medium.. We also get to see our hero perform amazing feats and try as much as possible not to let the new him be an hindrance to what he does..he genuinely cares for everyone and will not stop at nothing until the evil he fights against is vanquished.i liked the smoothness of the art and it was genuinely good to see the artist put in more work in certain scenes which is a bit lacking in the modern day..reminds me of astroboy lol..overall it was a good intro into the Kamen rider series if you don't want to go the live action route tho that is recommended as well..

With 8 chapters we get the overall idea of what the rider entails and what he stands for.his cool gimmicks ,his flashy costumes..the titular rider machine and most of all his big heart to protect those that matter and the things that matter tho it can be a bit dark and gritty at time showing that the stakes can be very high.But in the end we get to see our hero shine through and through

While some might be put of by it aesthetics,read for the story as how one man fights against the odds and overcomes it to be the first titular hero of the series _KAMEN RIDER_

Overall a 10/10 for me ..pick up Kamen rider you won't be disappointed
