Leveling Up in a Fantasy World
Score: ★☆☆☆☆ (2/10)
Story: 2/10
Not gonna lie, I have no idea what this plot was even trying to do. Guy gets catfished, dies immediately, and wakes up in a fantasy world where some "system" tells him he’s gonna be the ruler of everything. Cool, I guess? Except nothing that happens matters. There’s no real setup, no tension, and definitely no payoff. It’s just random crap thrown together to move the “story” forward. I swear every scene felt like it was written by someone half-asleep just clicking checkboxes on a generic isekai template.
Half the time I couldn’t tell if I missed something or if the show just didn’t bother explaining it. It moves so fast but somehow still feels like it’s dragging. And everything’s played off like a joke or a “wow cool” moment, but there’s no actual impact behind any of it. I zoned out multiple times and still didn’t miss a thing.
Characters: 1/10
Barely even worth calling them characters. The main guy is just some XP farming robot with no emotions. He’s not interesting, he’s not funny, he’s not even annoying — he’s just there. His junior sister is every soft-spoken waifu trope mashed into one person. There’s nothing going on with her either. Everyone else is just filler with names.
Nobody acts like a real person. They just do whatever the story needs them to do so it can move on. No backstories, no personality, no real conversations. I couldn’t care less about a single person in this entire show, and that’s honestly impressive.
Animation: 3/10
It looks... functional. That’s the nicest thing I can say. A few scenes look okay, but most of it is super stiff and basic. Fights are boring, special effects are copy-pasted, and everything just blends together into that cheap, washed-out digital look you see in bottom-tier seasonal anime. Definitely doesn’t do anything to help the story or make the action feel exciting.
Sound: 3/10
Music barely existed. I legit couldn’t tell you what the opening sounded like and I literally just finished the show. The voice acting is okay and I say that loosely, but it feels like they were given zero direction. Nobody sounds like they care about what’s happening, and honestly, I can’t blame them.
Enjoyment: 1/10
I didn’t enjoy this. Not even in a “so bad it’s fun” way. Just boring, frustrating, and a total waste of time. I only watched it because it came up in Solo Leveling search results, and I regret it. I was checking the time every five minutes wondering how much longer I had to sit through this mess. Every episode felt like a chore. There’s no hook, no cool twist, no satisfying anything. It just exists.
Overall: 2/10
This is the kind of "anime" you forget existed even while you’re still watching it. Feels like a rough draft of ten other shows done way worse. Zero originality, zero passion, and zero reason to hit play. Save your time and skip it. There’s better trash out there.
