In a world that’s forgotten kindness, we found each other — fragile, uncertain, but alive.

It's a story about a Golem and a little girl. The Golem, his father, is a very old golem, who left the forest to go on a journey with Somali, and find his parents. Somali gets hurt while following some animals, and his father finds someone who knows medicine, and helps Somali. The golem asks Shizuno to teach him to make medicine, to be able to help medicine, and gives him a part of his body, without hesitation. The golem is a very caring father, a guy who would do anything to protect Somali.
The music was pretty good. I really loved the world, very unique and not common in my watchlist.
The golem and Somali are my favorite characters. He has dedicated his remaining lifespan to help finding Somali's parents. He was a great father to Somali. I also love Shizuno, Somali’s best friend. He taught her many things, and took care of her when the Golem was working.

Somali and the Forest Spirit has stunning locations, and none of them looks the same. The world is overflowing with diverse landscapes, countless creatures, and vivid colors. It looks gorgeous!
I loved the part when it showed the first encounter between the golem and Somali. He met her thanks to a cat, that he named her after, and that day, it was fate that brought them together.

I also really loved when Somali went to look for a flower to grant him a wish, that of staying with his father forever. He took a lot of effort, made some risks and thankfully, together with his new friend and his companion, they went to some big tree and took a flower that would last long enough. I have to say my favorite of their travels was visiting the village which collects info from all over the world, a witch village. First thing, Somali was offered a lot of various food, which she really enjoyed, and was cute to watch. They entered a huge library to look for a book about humans. Unfortunately, the book was damaged by some book-eating fish. We were shown some of Golem’s powers, and were reminded of how much he sacrifices for Somali. They found out the person who read the book was the one who wrote it, and were told the story, the chronicle of Haraiso. I agree with her words, saying they were guided there by Mother Earth herself. The story she told them was one about people like Somali, a really sad story. Somali was told she can manage in this world, as a human, just fine. Those were the last words of that person.
Another scene I absolutely loved is when the Golem cooked for Somali for the first time, she told him it’s really good.

The moments they spent in that house they found were so heartwarming! They were also reunited with Shizuno and Yabashira, and had a really good time together. They traveled together and entered another village where they found some guys willing to help them. Later, they were betrayed by them for finding out they have a human, and the golem was forced to use more of his powers, losing an arm and going berserk to stop those cruel monsters from hurting Somali.
Watching him use those powers was really sad, but at the same time, I feel like those creatures deserved all of it. I wish he didn’t spare any of them, after lying in their face and trying to kill Somali. The golem was losing more and more of his body, and decided to go away before he hurts Somali, if he lost control again. But Somali feels lonely without his father, he runs after him and his father decides he will never leave Somali again, and they will be together forever, that being his only wish. I loved that they reunited, in spite of the state the Golem was in, and that is because I know the golem really wanted to spend more time with her.
Some of the moments in that night before the creatures came:

He looked so powerful, yet it was so painful to see him shorten his lifespan, but he had to do it, as his father, I’d have done the same.
And how he looked after using his power…

It was all worth it. He saved everyone, he did his job as a father.

Their next destination was a festival, which I really liked. We see his father spoil him more.

When the golem left, I really wish he didn’t, because in that moment, Somali felt really lonely, but the fact that they reunited, after he ran after him, and his father deciding to stay with him until the end, it made it all worth it.

I loved the story in this anime, I loved the world like I don’t do often, it was perfect. All in all, this journey was an unforgettable experience.
