“There’s only one reason anyone should get involved with skating. ‘Cuz it’s fun.”

It's a story about 2 guys who absolutely love skating, Langa and Reki. Ever since they met, Langa saw something in him, he found a new passion, which he liked as much as his old one, snowboarding with his dad. The 2 become best friends, and Reki made it his goal to teach Langa skating after he told him he wants to try it.I really like them, Reki is skating for fun and in the end nothing puts him down, as he doesn't skate to be the best, but instead tries whatever seems more fun, which Langa admires from him, as well as his passion and creativity when making those skateboards.
I find it really funny yet amazing how the fact that Reki brought the wrong skate that first day turned into a showoff for Langa's talents and potential. I find it really insane how he can use his snowboarding skills to create more possibilities in his skating. He sure loves flying lol. Watching the world from that high must feel amazing, the adrenaline, all those emotions.
This one line from Kojirou really sticked with me, I will always remember it.

Adam's old friends, Kaoru and Kojirou, they are really interesting characters, I love how calculated Cherry's skating is, and how different Kojiro's is, one who uses his strength and relies pretty much on intuition and in his instincts. They are kinda made for each other, in the same way Langa is made for Reki. They are best partners for skating for each other, real bros who are really fun to watch. Miya, he might be my second favorite character, he is really amazing at skating and has such a cool personality, he became Langa's and Reki's best friend after he was told that they would never leave each other and they will always be skating for fun. His life was totally changed when they had a beef to turn back Adam's words addressed to Miya. Both are amazing skaters and irreplaceable. Adam's trainer is also a pretty cool guy, in his childhood he was skating with Adam for fun and they had some unforgettable memories. I like that he tried to change Adam's current view on skating, make him do it for fun again, entering the races under the name Snake.
Overall, I liked the story, SK8 the Infinity is a perfect mix of high-energy skateboarding action and heartfelt moments about friendship, identity, and facing your fears. I loved the artstyle and animation, the music was pretty fitting, and it was a really enjoyable sports anime with extreme stunts and fantastic characters. I don't think I'll find anything like this any time soon, and I'm grateful for finding this.
9/10.
