Along with many others, I had heard the hype surrounding this show and found myself to be pretty excited about it! That was, until I actually watched it. Gone was the show full of cool action scenes and cute family moments that I'd hoped for, replaced with a bland, decent, action anime.
This may be a unique issue I have with the show compared to many other people, but what I don't like is the lack of Sakamoto as a father. We're told he's quit his life as an assassin to settle down with his family, so why do I rarely ever see him with his family? Sure, there are some moments spent with them, and I do like those quite a lot. But they're not an integral part of the show, which kind of just makes it feel like the family aspect is going to waste. An assassin father who protects his family could be really sweet and cute, yet I never see that. Instead, it's just another bland character fighting.

I've already emphasized how boring the characters are, but I will say, I do like Shin. I think he's a cute character, there's not all that much else to my opinion on him. He's just my favorite character and one of the main reasons I completed the anime. I just like seeing him.
This was supposed to be a great action anime, and maybe I just had my expectations too high, but this animation and art style aren't great. It's not horrible or anything, but it doesn't stand out in the slightest. It reminds me of One Punch Man season 2 more than anything. The character designs are similar, and the animation doesn't have too much movement, instead having lines going over it to look like movement.
I also really dislike the opening. It's very forgettable and doesn't really fit an action anime at all. It's not a bad opening, but it's just not very fitting for this sort of story.
