I Haven't written a review in a few years but I had to come back to write one for this show. So recently I was going back on some old anime that I haven't seen since high school and this is one that I really wanted to watch again and it seriously didn't disappoint. the show has aged so well, its still 100% in my top 2 anime all time just behind Nisekoi, even though the ending was just bland (MIKU SHOULD'VE WON) but it makes sense looking back on it. I've probably watched this show about 5 times, subbed, dubbed, with ads, on Netflix you name it. I've seen this show so much but the ending always stings every time I've seen it, i know what happens each time but it always stings when I see Yotsuba get picked at the every end by Futaro
First let's talk about plot
Plot: 10/10
This show is such a unique twist on the harem genre, typically harems have that one girl that stands above the rest and is the main love interest of the main character but this show doesn't have that all girls feel like on an even playing field having there respective arcs with Futaro and eventually confessing their love by the end of the second season. Which by the end you didn't really know who was going to get picked in the end, setting off a lot of rivalries reddit or anime forums talking about their favorite quint. cough miku. but it gave the show its flair separating it from being another cheap harem. which was so refreshing to watch after a lot of trash. my one and only flaw with the plot was that it 100% could've gone on longer the ending was rushed and ending very quickly but it makes sense since by the end of the second season everyone pretty much confessed their feelings to Futaro and ig their wasn't a whole lot extra to talk about.

Characters: 11/10
The Characters in this show are the reason why it's so good, don't get me wrong the plot is a 10 but the character are above and beyond how they developed the quint and Futaro himself and didn't put unnecessary characters in the show, But since I am a massive Miku supporter I wish they gave her more screen time in the second season like the first season, where everyone loved miku in the first season and really was the star of the show in my opinion kind of gave us a false hope that either miku or nino was gonna get picked. other wise loved the characters

Summary:
Top 2 anime all time in my opinion, how the plot and characters were executed was honestly great, I'm so glad I was around when the first season was still airing and waiting till the end of the school week to watch another episode of peak fiction. deadass almost cried when miku lost ngl 10/10 would recommend
ciao :)
