This show is what happens when you take all the isekai stuff, and throw them into a blender, with super hot sauce. The premise is an entire class of Japanese students gets transported to isekai, and all of them I mean all of them get extremely strong powers befitting of a isekai protagonist. You gotta give some credit for just this concept alone because the powers get crazy. We have guys who can summon rare items with premium currency as if playing a gatcha game, we got guys who can summon guns rockets and nukes, we got guys who can chop anything up and cook them because he's a chef, we even got guys who can read the fucking script of the show they're in, it's bonkers.
On top of that you also have all the stuff that don't normally belong in a fantasy isekai, there are modern cities, there are motorized vehicles and airplanes, there are fucking mechs, aliens terminators and mecha-Godzilla. Yea it's stupid as shit but I would argue it's gotten bad enough that it has looped around to being good again, would probably make a good drinking game with friends.
And of course you also have the protagonist, someone with insta-death ability that overpowers all the other insane shit in the show. Honestly if you think about it this is not THAT overpowered, in the hands of a better writer it had lots of potential. For example the MC has no defensive ability really, that could be a problem for himself but also for his allies. He also has no way to undo his abilities, he can kill someone but not revive them, he can kill someone's eyes and they can't see forever even if they remove their current eyes and grow new ones. That kind of permeance clearly has interesting story potential but I'm sorry to report these limitations are hinted at, but not really explored in this show.
I would say the best part of the show is just watching all this stupid nonsense elements fight it out, which is surprisingly smart and logical. For example guys who want to kill the MC are quite methodical in their investigation, probing and finally attempted attacks on the MC. They're really doing a good job for being tasked with fighting a character as absurd as the MC. The fights between other characters with strange abilities are also somewhat interesting, I would say the story respected the insane rules and abilities in almost every case, an above average performance in this regard.
This show has bad presentation, the characters look.. tolerable with only minor deformation in most scenes. Special effects like magic attacks, fires explosions look pretty bad. There are maybe 2 action cuts that are of decent quality, the rest have lots of cheating with still frames.
I thought the MC's backstory was slightly interesting, until they ruined it in the end with what appears like the central theme of the show. This suggests anything good about the show I've mentioned are probably more accidental, it could easily have a better message like for example how should the MC use his insane powers responsibly seeing how anything he kills is extremely permanent. But no in the end they kind of just say the MC can do whatever the fuck he wants because he can.
