I believe that there is always an anime hidden somewhere which is made for you but you don't even know that it exists. That is what exactly Tsukigakirei for me. I found this anime from a random video and started watching it just because I had nothing else to watch and I'm grateful to this day that I watched it. The art style also caught my attention. Before watching it I didn't have any expectations from this anime because I never got into romance anime normally but I never saw this coming that this would end up becoming my most favorite romance anime of all time and even end up in my top 5 list of favorite anime.
I loved everything about this anime how simple and realistic it was, very different from the regular cliché romance anime with lot of fanservice, very much relatable especially if you are an introvert, it shows how real life relationship works and how it comes with responsibilities, both partners support each other which is inspiring. This anime that many people sleep on has changed my life in a lot of ways.
When I finished this anime I had post anime depression for almost 15-20 days. Maybe because this is what I want in my life, a simple and loyal love which is hard nowadays. I wish that I could cherish love in my life just like them. At that time, whenever I heard the OST or ending song I would always end up crying but now when I listen to it, it makes me so much happy and relaxes me. The ending of this anime was also one of the most satisfying endings I've watched. I thought I would forget this anime in few days but its been months and I still can't forget it. I listen to the soundtrack of this anime like everyday. This anime has moved me so much.
This anime is so special for me that I’ve had Kotarou and Akane as my wallpaper for months. They’ve become one of my favorite anime couples :)
After watching this, I tried more romance anime, but none of them touched me on this level. They were enjoyable, but nothing hit me as hard as Tsukigakirei.
By the time the credits rolled on the final episode… I just sat there, staring at the screen, feeling like I’d experienced something personal.
If you’ve been overlooking this anime like I once did, don’t. You might just see your own first love in it.
Story: The story was simple but beautiful. (10/10)
Animation: I loved the artstyle of this anime but it fall down with some annoying CGI scenes but still I think they didn't ruin the experience. (9/10)
Sound: I can't give it lower than a 10 the OST is perfect and also I love the ending song. (10/10)
Character: The characters are the most relatable to myself. I just love how loyal they are loyal towards each other. (10/10)
Enjoyment: Many people find it boring and slow paced but for me it was perfect I did not felt any moment that this anime is boring it was just one of the best experience I ever had. (10/10)
