Wow, it's been a while since I last wrote an anime review. I think the last time I did it was 2 years ago?
Anyway, I decided to watch the movie on Friday since I only had one class. I managed to snag my tickets early before they could sell out at my theater. Wanting to experience this movie in the best quality possible, I watched the movie in IMAX.
Minor spoilers(?)
If you've been watching Demon Slayer for some time now, then I don't have to explain the plot of the story. However, in case you forgot, the movie picks up on the last episode of the Hashira Training arc. All demon slayers are taken to the Infinity Castle, where they must fight all demons until sunrise. This movie is part 1 of the trilogy.
It is no surprise that Demon Slayer is praised for its stunning animation. Throughout the movie, I was amazed by how the animators did the fighting scenes. The movie was very vibrant in color, and the Infinity Castle was drawn in great detail. The use of CGI really gives the audience an experience like never before. You can tell how much money and time everyone invested in this project.
There aren't many cons in this movie other than the flashbacks. Don't get me wrong, I understand that these things are necessary because they give the characters depth and allow the audience to learn more about them before the events in the movie. However, I found it mildly annoying when there would be a flashback every five minutes between fight scenes.
