My Review of "The Water Magician"!

How powerful can you be with water powers? Apparently, quite a lot.
Story
Ryou is reincarnated with the ability to use water magic. His goal was to live in peace and take his new life easy. Unfortunately, he has a couple of encounters with unfamiliar faces that lead him out of this peaceful life and give him an adventure that comes with its own challenges. As Ryou continues to learn water magic, he also must balance this with his social life with others.
Characters
Ryou is a bright, optimistic, and clever kid. He’s blessed with an Eternal Youth trait that slows down his aging, leaving him looking young for his age. Later in the anime, he meets Abel, the leader of a party full of charisma and friendliness. Ryou also later meets Sara, an intelligent elf that takes a bit of interest in Ryou’s skill and knowledge.
The Good
This anime was quite relaxing. It felt like this anime wasn’t too focused on action and prioritized aesthetics and storylines more. It’s nice to watch a show like this after watching a bunch of action-packed anime because it really does slow things down, but not to the point where it feels like anything is taking forever to be completed. The characters were fun for who they were. I think that the way this shows powerscales the ability of water really shows the potential for water skills. Initially, I didn’t think that the power of water would be the most effective in combat, but this show really shows the possibilities on how overpowered water can be. Not every show needs to be this whole emotional masterpiece. Sometimes, it’s nice to just have some relaxing good anime to watch every now and then like The Water Magician.
The Bad
This is a small complaint, but I think there were a few moments in the anime that did lack some animation. I don’t think it was as bad as many other lowly animated shows, but it was still noticeable when it was present, which felt awkward. Another minor complaint I had is about the finale. I wish that the fight between Ryou and the Inferno Magician lasted longer. There was lots of potential for that fight, but I guess the show needed a happy ending.
The Downright Ugly
Nothing downright ugly about this anime.
Is It Worth The Watch?
If you’re looking for a good, relaxing anime, I’d say that The Water Magician is worth checking out. It won’t be anything that’ll surprise you or stand out a lot, but it’s a good show nonetheless.
Thank you for taking the time to read my review. I hope this helped you with your decision on whether to watch this anime or not! If you already have watched it, I hope that you can agree with me with some of the points I made. If you enjoyed this review, I would greatly appreciate a follow too! ^^
